The hotel was nice. The rooms were clean and nice although on the small side, but not unusual for New York. The Valet parking was more expensive then some at $85, but the location is so busy, it was just easier to let them find a parking place. The staff was very nice. You must try the restaurant next door, very active and food and drink were tasty! It is called The Ainsworth.

We stayed here last weekend for a family members birthday party. Had a very nice sized room for NYC on the 25th Floor with a great view of the surrounding buildings. Staff was very nice and informative when asking for directions or recommending a place to eat in the area. This hotel was centrally located in the city. Walking distance to Time square and Empire State building. With access to the subway right across the street. Will stay here again next time visiting the city

The king room was very small, but expected for midtown. Clean rooms. Helpful front desk. Valet was $85 a night, but was convient to drop the car off and not worry about it. I would avoid driving if possible. The traffic getting to the hotel is chaotic.

For around $200 a night it's a great hotel, especially since you'll spend most time outside the room.

Hilton Garden Inn Midtown/Park Ave. excellent place to stay in NYC. Hotel lobby was spacious, open with plenty of comfortable and modern furniture. A charging/work station for phone and laptops in lobby. Rooms were clean, comfortable and very affordable. Staff was awesome, very friendly and accommodating. Location was perfect. Very close to Subway and local attractions.

Tried to check in early but no room available so they hold your bags for you. The woman at the front desk was very nice at first, told me to call back at noon and she'd check if something opened up. Sounded good, so sat on the hop on hop off bus for 3 hours and called back at noon. She said there was a room available but it was above there bar and she wouldn't recommend it because it was noisy. But I was guaranteed a room at 3:00 pm So walked around for a while but was so exhausted that we got back at 2:00 pm and just waited in the lobby. Set my alarm for 3 pm and when it went off I went back to the front desk and the nice lady was suddenly not so nice anymore told still not ready, maid was giving it a once over. So much for their guarantee, she gave us free breakfast the next day. More on that later...but you can imagine our surprise when we got the room on the third floor over the bar, it had a view of the bar and the trash bin on the side of it. The noise was horrible, and it went on until 2 am. We were so exhausted the next day and ended up sleeping on the hop on hop bus again. The breakfast they gave us, was so bad, it had bacon (hard not crispy), eggs runny, fruit and pastries were brown, old and we ended up not eating it and going out for breakfast. Though my AARP said I could get a 2 pm check out they told me it wan't available but when we checked out at 10 am they let a guy in a suit check in early. They did hold our bags for us and we came back to get them at 2 pm, again sleeping on the hop on hop off bus. The manager said he would contact me and give me extra reward points for all the mishaps but never got them. Though I don't know what to do with them anyway. But if you say your going to give something at least do that just to end on a good note. There are alot of hotels in New York don't waste money on a hotel that doesn't live up to the Hilton name.

Room Tip: Ask for a high floor,
