We stayed a few nights with young children. There is stroller access, cooking and laundry facilities, wifi and plenty of groceries and takeout on the same street along with elevator accessible subway nearby at W4. We felt comfortable and safe.
We had a very comfortable stay in this two bedroom apartment. Undoubtedly, the best thing about this apartment was its fantastic location. There is a subway station a few minutes walk in each direction and there are plenty of bars, restaurants and cafes just downstairs. We walked to SOHO, the West Village, Chelsea, Nolita, Flatiron - it was just the NY experience we hoped for.
The apartment managers were very professional. They showed us all aspects of the apartment when we arrived and checked that the TV, wifi, key etc. all worked. They also replied to any inquiry during our stay quickly.
The apartment had a full-time doorman and felt very safe. The apartment also has elevator access - very rare in the area. While it isn't new, everything was very clean and kept in good order. The linen and towels were also fresh and new, and plenty were supplied. Access to the common laundry on the same floor was really useful.
Typically of NY, the kitchen is too small to cook much. However, there was a full set of crockery and flatware, a few saucepans and a large fridge. We didn't use the microwave, which was on top of the fridge and too high for us to use, but I assume that works as well.
The loungeroom and each bedroom had a good flat-screen tv and wifi was included. The apartment also has plenty of storage space. While we had 3 adults staying in the apartment at any one time, 4 people could easily stay.
The area is busy, so it is noisy at night. We expected this and it wasn't a problem for us.
