We went when it was no longer winter and not yet spring so nothing was in bloom, but it was still a marvelous time! I can't even imagine what it might look like once everything blooms! I would recommend this stroll =) It's not too long and not too crowded! The railroad runs right along the path and there is plenty of places to sit down, relax, and enjoy the view =) The High Line is a great addition to NYC!

Gorgeous walk along the high line with my partner after breakfast. Got to see a different part of the city away from the hustle and bustle. We got off at Chelsea piers and walked along the pier which we would recommend for the views across the river.
The walk along the high line was lovely, not too busy and very clean. Excellent views of the city. Would be lovely to see in summer in full bloom!

Lovely way to spend a morning

The Highline is a great example of innovative urban renewal and planning. These old elevated train tracks sat unused for decades and were a blight on the lower west side of Manhattan. Today they are a wondrous walking park. Utilizing indigenous flora and creating a unique experience between 14th st & 34th. Although only 30-40ft above the streets below it presents a fresh and captivating experience of NewYork you will not get anywhere else. Start uptown and check out the new Whitney Museum at the end. Enjoy!
