We took the best of NYC Tour which (when tides allow) sails 2.5 hours all around Manhattan and includes a trip by the Statue if Liberty. This is a great way to see all parts of the city, bridges, and more. We went on a cooler, overcast day so our boat wasn’t especially crowded. We were able to move around a lot and get great pictures. There’s a concession stand and bar, as well as restrooms on board. We ended up grabbing sandwiches for lunch to save time in our day; they were pretty ordinary and a bit overpriced, but it was worth the convenience. This is definitely a tour worth taking!
We took the Circle Line Cruise as part of our Big Bus Tour in NY to get a closer look at the Statue of Liberty, and the view was great. Our cruise boat circled in front of the statue, but did not stop at the island. Which is what we wanted. Most people preferred to sit on the deck for a better view and photos of the statue. Would recommend carrying your own food on board because the food selection is a). Limited and b). The queues are looooooong!
