Perfect Stay in Lower Manhattan

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 31 Jul 2024
I recently stayed at The Historic Blue Moon, Lower Eastside, Manhattan and had a fantastic experience. The hotel is perfectly situated, just a stone's throw away from a metro station, making it incredibly convenient to explore all of New York City's attractions. The neighbourhood itself is vibrant, with an array of bars, restaurants, and cultural sites that offer a true taste of Manhattan diversity (Camden Town, London vibe).

The room was spotless and comfortable, providing a relaxing after a day of sightseeing or business meetings. what truly set this hotel apart, though, was the staff. Everyone i encountered was friendly and happy to assist. A big shout out to the hotel manager "David" who was exceptionally knowledgeable about the local area and the rich history of Manhattan. their insights added an extra to my trip, making it even more memorable.

whether you're travelling solo, with family or for business, The Historic Blue Moon is an excellent choice. I look forward to staying here again in the future. highly recommend.

Charming hotel, excellent location. I’ll definitely return with my family! There is so much history and beauty to this unique, beautifully restored building.

This neighborhood is delightful. Be sure to catch one of the tours at the Tenement Museum, located right across the street. A must-do on your NYC vacation!

I highly recommend ordering from their bakery too!

I came on a girls trip and from the moment I waked through the front door it felt like home. All the beautiful after work. Being welcomed with a short story of the history of the hotel everything honestly was perfect. My friend and I stayed on the 8th floor and I’d like to say the view is amazing and the room was quite beautiful.(I definitely took photos)

Room tip: The longer the stay the better ,the experience .!

Amazing and authentically historic. Also the restaurant first floor is amazing and authentically Italian. The owners clearly put their heart and soul into the hotel and service. Stayed in the Marks brothers room and will do it again next time I’m in the city. I loved it. Best experience.

This hotel is under new management for about a year (since June 2023 or so). It was a hostel before that. Now, it's a stunning hotel with massive rooms and incredible views. They are fully restored old tenement apartments with hand finished wood trim, subway tiles and tons of personality. Staff were extremely responsive and helpful. There's also a really great Italian restaurant in the lobby. What a beautiful place!

I’m not joking when I say staying at this one of a kind boutique hotel is like stepping into a movie. From its affordable, stylish, massive rooms w/ scenic balconies that each include a kitchenette to cook in, to its insanely delicious home made Italian cuisine, to the custom art by the hospitable owner lining the historic walls of the whole place including the elevator ceiling, this is a must stay for anyone that wants a unique, historic yet comfortable experience in the Lower East Side 100%!
