We hesitated about spending time for this, but it turned out to be a highlight of our New York visit. Very well put together with cool use of building remains. Touching videos and recordings, memorabilia, and sequence of events. Highly recommend going, but plan on at least two hours.

This was my first visit to New York and I felt it was important to pay my respects to all those affected by the atrocity. I didn't visit the museum but found simply being at the memorial a moving experience.

The 9/11 Memorial & Museum is a must-see attraction, but it is also a very somber experience. For those of us from Oklahoma, we all remember where we were when the federal building was bombed. We also remember where we were when the twin towers went down. We may want to forget but we can't, and we must never forget.

This memorial museum was very well done. It has a certain reverence to it and that was apparent in the quietness of the many people there when we were. As time passes on, it is easy to think of this awful day as an "event" in history. This museum humanizes the depth of this tragedy by focusing on the many people who lost their lives here. There are photos of almost everyone who was lost and there are also some short summaries of individual's lives by loved ones of those killed. It was very moving. As you walk through this place, it is hard not to be moved to tears. It is just a question of when and what hits you that brings out the emotions.
