“A fabulous New York experience”

I stayed here with a friend and we loved it. It's in a fabulous location and we found lots of great cafes and restaurants close by. It was also great to be able to self cater e.g. make breakfast or cups of tea. The apartment was also very close to the bus stop which made getting around very easy. Chelsea is a beautiful suburb and we always felt safe any time of the day or night.
I highly recommend A Garden in Chelsea and would definitely stay here again.

“Chelsea delight”

We stayed in September 2014 and couldn't have wished for better. Ours was the upstairs 1-bed apartment. It was well equipped, clean, comfortable and secure; everything worked, and Karen and Paul are delightful hosts. The location is a classic brownstone in a quiet side street, yet a short stroll from the action, restaurants and (very handy) subway stop on 9th Ave. There are supermarkets nearby if you want to stock the kitchen (we toasted breakfast bagels from Murray's on 8th) and we can recommend burgers and beer at the Half King pub at 23rd and 10th. We felt entirely safe walking anywhere in the area, at any time. Some Aussie friends joined us for part of our week, using the sofa bed in the living room: they found it perfectly comfortable. We'd certainly stay there again. If Karen suggests booking a limo for your ride to the airport, do it. It's door to door, won't cost much more (possibly less) than a taxi and is much more reliable than trying to find a cab on what was (for us) a rainy morning of departure.

“Best place to stay in Chelsea, if not all of NYC!!”

This is my second stay at this location. The first time we stayed in the studio with the garden and this time we stayed in the one bedroom apt on the 3rd floor. It was immaculate and spacious. Very roomy and tidy with internet access and a listing of the nearby places to eat. Very comfortable place. I felt like this was my own apartment, very homey. The neighborhood is PERFECT. Beautiful family environment and close to all the important places. We loved being close to the entrance to the High Line and had everything we needed closeby. Karen and Paul are so accomodating and helpful. DO NOT PASS THIS PLACE UP!!! Highly, highly recommended. We are already planning our next visit and have told all of our friends not to miss this.

“Charming, comfortable and accomodating!”
Reviewed 9 November 2014 for a stay in October 2014

Loved my stay at A Garden in Chelsea! I stayed in 2nd floor apartment and felt right at home. Spacious, clean and comfortable. Karen and Paul were very accomodating and helpful. The street is so charming and location is close to some amazing restaurants, Highline, Chelsea Markets, Chelsea Pier, etc. A definite must if staying in or near Chelsea!

“Game changer for reluctant NY visitor”
Reviewed 18 October 2014 for a stay in October 2014

I was reluctant to visit New York until our friends recommended staying at a Garden In Chelsea.( perhaps I'd been watching too many US crime shows) Safe ,walking distance to restaurants, the Chelsea market , a couple of subway stops from all the delights of Broadway the myriad of mind blowing museums and art galleries in Manhattan. For Australian readers it felt safer than staying in Carlton but with more convenient public transport and more variety of eating options . Karen and Paul our delightful hosts helped us with great clear directions and were able to give advice on restaurants and the best shows to see.The accommodation was roomy and very comfortable.Highly recommended
