St. Paul's Chapel is a lovely house of worship with a rich history, but its significance grew following the attacks on the World Trade Center in 2001. "The little chapel that stood" is a must-see.

This church, located just a few blocks from the towers became the epicenter of the activity in the days after 9/11. It housed rescue workers and the fence that surrounds the church was literally covered from top to bottom with photos of missing people. Was here shortly after 9/11 when people still held out hope of finding loved ones. Walking past it now still invokes the memories and horrors of that time. We did not this time, but if you have the time, go inside. It is a fabulous historic church.

This is the perfect spot to sit a minute, gather your thoughts, and enjoy a beautiful chapel inside and out. This was the meeting point for the 9/11 walking tour. Having arrived early, provided the opportunity to go inside (metal detector and guard to look through bags at the entrance) and listen to an orchestra setting up for an evening performance.

This chapel housed workers after the 9/11 tragedy. The grounds around it include a cemetery with headstones dating back to the 1700s. It is a very moving spot to visit

A Gem of a place. Sacred and historical. hundreds of years old. A tour by staff enriched us of its significance and structural beauty. Smack darn inside City Center not far from other venues. As a fan of President George Washington, I am too a fan of this premier gem stone of New York
