Come here for the real Japanese food, friendly staff, Japanese beer, and a selection of good sake. Inside the restaurant is identical to many super Japanese restaurants but not high fashion.
We ate a late lunch and service was very good but not super-fast.
My Japanese wife was extremely thrilled with her Chirashi lunch set: chirashi, miso soup, kinpira, tsukemono, agedashi dofu, and Asahi Super Dry draft beer. I enjoyed snacking on my wife’s order and my own nikujaga.
Sakura doesn't have much of the standard izakaya food but you will enjoy the food, beer, sake, and staff.
