Owner description: Named the #1 Ballpark in America by USA Today in 2016! Petco Park is spectacular in every way, combining the best sight lines in baseball with breathtaking views of San Diego. Architecturally magnificent, it celebrates the sea, the sky, the natural beauty, cultural diversity and unique spirit of our region. We’ve made a concerted effort to not only make this the best ballpark in America, but also one of the best entertainment destinations. Located in downtown San Diego, its surrounded by a plethora of bars and restaurants and is within walking distance of the Convention Center, Seaport Village and Waterfront Park.

My husband is scratching off his bucket list with every baseball stadium in the U.S. This is one of the best we've experienced. Open, trendy, SOOO much to do! Loved the healthy food options and IPA beer tents. Felt like a night out for me too and not just a sporting event!

So well set up. Drinks, food, and really well laid out stadium in the city centre. Padres game wasn’t great score for them, but we really enjoyed the evening. Recommend you give it a go!

This was one of my rare visits to a major-league ballpark. Having walked by Petco Park on previous visits to San Diego, I wanted to take time this trip to take in a game.

I’ve always been impressed with the way Petco Park integrates into the surrounding neighborhood. We were staying at a hotel two blocks away, so it was easy to get to. Access to our upper level seats was easy since they were just one flight of stairs above street level.

We made a point of taking in a Tuesday night game since most of the food stands at Petco Park do Taco Tuesday specials. That was mostly a good thing. The Carnitas Shack had a special on their carnitas tacos, the bad part was that they were so backed up it took almost a half hour to get my order. That’s pretty bad when you consider that they only had one item on the menu that night.

Other than that it was a great experience. I love the fact that they do short videos on the scoreboard that feature San Diego Padres players and their pets. There is also a special open lawn section just past the outfield behind the scoreboard where people are allowed to attend with their dogs.

The dog park section featured prominently in the audience cams during the game. We hung out there for a little bit after the seventh-inning stretch. People and their dogs were having a great time and restless kids had plenty of room to move about.

We had a great time in this beautiful and well run baseball park.

Cheapest seats are 17.50, which isn't too bad. But then if you want anything to eat or drink, it is now $25.00 MINIMUM per person in addition to the ticket!! This is good family fun IF you have unlimited funds!
