Description: Thinking Cup is pleased to be the first coffee shop in Downtown Boston to serve "Stumptown Coffee" exclusively. Stumptown, originating in Portland Oregon had been named “Best Coffee in the World” by NPR, The New York Times, Food & Wine Magazine, and USA Today. To ensure exceptional quality and freshness we obtain our beans directly from Stumptown’s roasting facility in Brooklyn, New York. Established in 2010, Thinking Cup has routinely been touted as Boston's Best Coffee Shop. Not only offering award winning coffee, Thinking Cup has a very diverse menu of wonderful sandwiches to include gluten free and vegetarian options. Locally sourced and all-natural, most of the offerings are made in house. Thinking Cup can be found in three locations around Boston. In the heart of Back Bay at 85 Newbury Street, Across the Boston Common at 165 Tremont Street and in the historic North End on the Freedom Trail at 236 Hanover Street.

We are picky about coffee. Both the coffee and baked goods here were outstanding. Sat outside w the locals and their dogs. Really like this Street.

Nice, if very busy, place to hang out and read. The lemon poppyseed scone was delicious--perfect texture, not tons of super lemony flavor or overly sweet dough in the scone itself, but the really tart icing balanced put the whole thing. If you're going to have tea (I know, it's better known for coffee, but I can't judge that), just know that mine was very weak I overheard the women next to me saying the same thing. Not nearly enough tea leaves for the 20-something-oz. pot. But it was Assam tea, so I was happy about that. (My fave.)

Great coffee, great pastries, and one of the best Greek yogurt parfaits of all time. Couple that up with a killer location on Newbury Street (awesome for the people watching alone), and this place easily rises to the top of my list when we're in Boston. Check it out.

Plenty of patrons which is always a good sign. Seating both inside one outside. You place your order at the counter and pay at the same time. They call you once the food is ready. Don’t be put off if there is a queue, it moves very quickly. The food was delicious and excellent value for money. Loved it.
