Anytime I had friends or family visit me in Boston, the first place we'd go was to Doyle's Cafe. In my opinion, Doyle's has the best clam chowder in Boston. They also have great burgers and other types of foods you'd expect to find in a pub. A great place, but I recommend visiting during the day as the neighborhood around isn't the greatest.

Doyle's has a deal with Sam Adams. After you take the brewery tour, order a Sam Adams at the bar & you get a free Sam Adams beer glass. Fair enough. The beer was ice cold. Perfect. We ordered some Irish nachos (nachos with potato chips instead of corn chips), some wings, a couple of burgers. Doyle's wasn't shy about their serving portions. Very generous. The wings were good sized. The burger & fries covered the plates and the nachos were huge. The chowder was the only disappointment. Something was just "off" in the flavor and the potato chunks were a bit too big. . FYI-appetizers are half priced from 3-6pm.

Cold beer. Great food. What's not to like?

Good food in a good old fashioned bar restaurant. The mozzarella sticks were excellent for starters. Then she had a bacon cheeseburger that was really good and I had the homemade Mac n cheese with buffalo chicken that was good although not great. Overall a fun lunch. The shuttle to and from San Adams was really nice and convenient.

After taking the Boston Brewery tour they direct you to Doyle’s for lunch and to get a free Sam Adams glass. This place is a great neighborhood bar. The lobster roll had a huge pile of meat. You can of course drink Sam Adams beer. Definitely worth a stop.

Our gang stopped at Doyle’s Sunday morning for breakfast , on the way to the airport. What a great choice. The establishment is very big and old. The wood interior is beautiful. The waitress treated us like family from the time we walked in until we left. We were seated in a nice area with a place to store our luggage. The food was fantastic. We all wished we stopped here the night before to enjoy the pub . Hope to come back to Boston and Doyle’s .
