We were staying at Aloft hotel right across the street and my husband went here each morning for coffee and pastries. Breakfast in our room with great coffee and delicious pastries. I loved the chocolate croissant and the sticky buns. The cheese danish was good too. I would go here definitely!

The best biscuit we had in Asheville. The egg and cheese biscuit is delish. One of us had a warmed stickey bun, which was melt-in-your-mouth. Best breakfast we had in Asheville, and NO WAIT!

I stopped in for just a moment but was transported to ultimate spy milk drinking uber peace wielding hippy-dom.
The pros: adorably hip town, outside front patio, excellent menu selection, almond/soy milk available, delish whole wheat bagel with cream cheese quickly made (im assuming the others are delish too), helpful, polite and patient service, chill vibe-everything a coffee house should be.

The cons: you have to pay for parking! 25cents per ten minutes! it's a crime! and the food prices are slightly high-cheese danish $2.75(it did look absolutely perfect tho:)

Just FYI - we do have free parking beside our building during regular business hours. It can get full quickly, though. Hope to see you soon!

A community lives and dies by the quality of its bread and of its coffee. Congrats to the City Bakery for keeping Asheville alive and well! Everything is delicious; their coffee is excellent. Ambiance is slightly chaotic, but welcoming.

We visited City Bakery on the morning of July 19. Very quick and friendly service. Coffee and latte were delicious. My wife got a sticky bun and absolutely loved it. I got a cinnamon roll, it was a pretty good roll. I prefer a bit more icing but the overall flavor was spot on. We will be back!
