Booked a sailboat tour through the website. It was an all day tour, leaving at 10 am and returning at 4 pm. We were on the sailboat with one other couple and our captain, captain Jamey. What a fantastic experience!!! From beginning to end, just awesome. Captain Jamey was a wealth of knowledge about Biscayne National Park and one awesome sailboat driver. We were lucky to have only one other couple and our captain on the boat. Just amazing! It was smooth sailing from the coast to Boca Chita Key and back. We got to see the lighthouse and we got to chose our activity which included: kayak, paddle boards, or snorkeling. It was awesome and and I would recommend this your to anyone and everyone!!!

The park is beautiful, however, while out kayaking with our group, we saw a pelican hanging from a tree, snagged on a fish line and obviously suffering, we kayaked back across the bay to tell the Park Rangers and get help in freeing it. It took over an hour for the rangers to respond. They were inexplicably slow coming out and unapologetic, and when they finally did get it together and got in their boat the battery was dead and they disappeared for quite awhile to go for another one. The bird ultimately did get rescued, thankfully. We saw numerous other pelicans and 3-4 other species of birds, no manatees. Fighter jets were periodically screaming overhead as they took-off from nearby Homestead Air force base, interrupting an otherwise tranquil spot.

Nice crew, fast moving boat trip which was fun, seemed like a beautiful clear day to be out on the water, but disappointed that we only got to snorkel in the mangrove area due to supposedly not such flat seas near the reef where we all wanted to snorkel. There were about 19 people on this tour. We saw very few fish and were in a sea depth of about max 10 feet it seemed and then as closer to the mangrove was too shallow to really enjoy. We all seemed to get back on the boat earlier then probably expected. We a family of 4, aIso had pre paid for wet suits if needed as others did too and the crew did not ask if anyone had purchased them so they were not on the boat. Probably will not snorkel with them again because I want to be at the reef to see more abundance of fish . Was told summer months are better with less wind on the ocean to get to the reef.

Three hour cruise to Boca Chita. Everything was great. Only complaint is that it takes an hour to get there and another hour to return leaving only one hour on the key. Another half hour would have been perfect.
