If you can overlook the extremely rude, incompetent staff and horrible "breakfast," this could be a nice stay. It is a typical Springhill Suites layout, which we normally love, but the staff ruined it.
To get breakfast or coffee, you had to wait in line, which at times was over a 30 minute wait that included staff yelling if people did not properly stay 6 feet from eachother. In addition, because of paranoia of the virus, the jacuzzis are over chlorinated, so our swim suits were ruined. We were not the only guests that this happened to. I guess we should be grateful that the jacuzzis were open.
Don't expect things to change with a call or note to the manager, who seems to encourage the rude behavior of his employees.
We did encounter 2 nice employees--one male working the breakfast and another male housekeeper.
This was our first hotel stay since March, and if this is what it is like to stay at all Marriotts, we will go elsewhere. It is a shame, because a hotel can be a dump, but if it has nice employees, it makes up for it. But in this case the hotel was beautiful, but had rude workers.

Thank you so much for your feedback. In a year that has been difficult for so many we strive on trying to keep everyone as safe as possible while still adhering to health department guidelines. We realize that much of this has been politicized and many front line workers have been caught in the middle unfairly trying there best to make both sides happy. We are happy to offer our buffet again even though we have to restrict it to us serving the guest per our health departments guidance. The grab and go bags were less than popular so when we had an option to offer hot food items along with other options we took it to better serve our guests. We realize this does slow done the process but feel offering our guests more options for food is worth the trade off. Our spas are checked multiple times daily. We will ensure that our logs are reviewed and that no anomalies were noted in the last few weeks, thank you for this feedback! As the manager we do not encourage rudeness of any kind. We do realize that that there are several sides to all incidents and we like to approach each one in a professional manner to ensure our guests needs are taken care of and that our team receives the training they need as well. We simply ask that all parties involved always approach all matters with respect and dignity for everyone involved towards a common solution. We have truly dedicated employees who are human and make mistakes but truly care for each one of our guests. Thank you for your candid feedback and I am always willing to discuss in more detail if needed please feel free to reach out anytime. Thank you again for taking the time to share your comments!

Lots of maskless guests walking around and staff did nothing about it. They also still have the breakfast buffet and pool open which seems extremely stupid. We were supposed to stay three nights and left after one.

Thank you so much for your feedback. We strive to ensure we keep everyone as safe as possible throughout their stay. We have posted all signage reminding guests to wear their masks and will continue to remind everyone as well, thank you for that feedback. We were also sure to work closely with our local health officials and CDC guidance regarding our breakfast and hot tubs and have been following all guidance given to us while still trying to offer our guests a good quality breakfast and place to relax after enjoying Moab! We know this year has been hard and I am sorry this impacted your stay. Please know we value the feedback and will continue to evaluate our processes based off guest feedback like yours. Thank you!

We just completed our second visit at SpringHill Suites Moab - we never have enough time here! As Titanium Elite Bonvoy members we have felt well taken care of both times we have stayed. We absolutely love the family room with bunk beds. The West Elm decor line makes it feel so clean and updated. Pam at the front desk both evenings was so friendly and helpful! Christmas decorations throughout the lobby were lovely and really helped us get in the holiday spirit in such an unusual year. THANK YOU for finding a way to offer hot breakfast! It was much appreciated by our family. We also enjoyed the hot tub one evening, although we would have been able to spread out more with the kids if the pool was open ☺️ Maybe next time!

SpringHill Suites was perfect for our Thanksgiving trip to Arches and Canyonlands NPs. Location is excellent for access to the parks. Being north of town, you beat the traffic on the way there and back. During COVID, I would not even recommend staying closer to town. The view from our room was gorgeous. To-go breakfast was perfect each morning. The suites have a separate living area where we ate our breakfast and dinner each dinner to avoid indoor dining. To top it all off, there are 4 hot tubs!! So we had one to ourselves each night. Hotel is very family friendly, so if hearing children having fun bothers you, maybe request the top floor so there is no noise above you.

The best thing about this property was is it is literally the closest hotel to Arches National Park. Just 5 min from your room! We were there last week, 3rd week of Oct 2020.

This is especially helpful because with the overwhelming number of people who were there even in October you need to get into the park as early as possible. We thought that by going in late October there would be a lot less people the hotel, the town of Moab and the park itself were all extremely crowded.

We spent one morning heading straight to the Delicate Arch and that parking lot was full before 9 AM. The parking lot is not that big and there are many people that go for sunrise so by the time we got there a lot of people were actually leaving because they had been there since 6 AM. All 3 days we were there the park closed for several hours from late morning to early/mid afternoon because there were too many people. An alternative if that happens to you would be to go to Canyonlands National Park or a Dead Horse State Park which is on the way to Canyonlands. Both are great places to see.

We are Marriott Titanium members and that is why we chose this hotel. It shares a pool with another Marriott property, a Fairfield Inn which is just on the other side of the pool. Normally with our Marriott status, we would stay on the top floor in a quiet part of the hotel but I specifically asked for the first floor close to a door because of covid.

The room was nice and comfortable. I don’t really have any complaints about the room. We took cleaning supplies to do our own wiping down. Because of covid there is no housekeeping service during your stay which was fine with us because I’d rather not have anybody in the room while we were there anyway. The room had a nice microwave and refrigerator which was great since traffic going into Moab was horrific with current road construction. This made going to any restaurant or grocery store quite an ordeal. We did go to the City Market in town one night which we were told by locals is the best grocery store. We would agree with that. Many people were there stocking up for the next day or 2 to go into park. We brought our own food and bought other food to prepare meals in the room and then several times took our food outside to the poolside deck area just outside the pool gate.

The hotel did have a breakfast buffet where are you could grab fruit and yogurt out of a small refrigerator. It was a surprise that the public was allowed to touch any of the breakfast items. The hot breakfast which was basically just eggs and a variety of meat depending on the day was served by hotel staff (they were both wearing gators and not masks). Gators have been shown to spread your talking spray more than nothing at all!

While we were sitting outside eating our dinner, we were watching people in the pool area and the jacuzzi. There was staff that came in and out of the pool gate but no one was ever talked to guests in regards to social distancing. The jacuzzi was a big hot Covid party that was always overflowing with people. There were lots of kids running around with their parents and none of them were wearing masks even from the hotel into the pool area. This is the only negative I have about the hotel. I was really shocked that there were so many people in the Jacuzzi from different families. This was the 3rd hotel we had stayed at in Utah and I guess there’s a fine line between pissing people off and telling them what the rules are while they’re on the property!

We would love to go back to this area and spend a lot more time hiking in the park but it was a very long drive from Southern California so we’ll wait until after this pandemic mess settles down.
