Thank you so much for your feedback. We strive to ensure we keep everyone as safe as possible throughout their stay. We have posted all signage reminding guests to wear their masks and will continue to remind everyone as well, thank you for that feedback. We were also sure to work closely with our local health officials and CDC guidance regarding our breakfast and hot tubs and have been following all guidance given to us while still trying to offer our guests a good quality breakfast and place to relax after enjoying Moab! We know this year has been hard and I am sorry this impacted your stay. Please know we value the feedback and will continue to evaluate our processes based off guest feedback like yours. Thank you!
We just completed our second visit at SpringHill Suites Moab - we never have enough time here! As Titanium Elite Bonvoy members we have felt well taken care of both times we have stayed. We absolutely love the family room with bunk beds. The West Elm decor line makes it feel so clean and updated. Pam at the front desk both evenings was so friendly and helpful! Christmas decorations throughout the lobby were lovely and really helped us get in the holiday spirit in such an unusual year. THANK YOU for finding a way to offer hot breakfast! It was much appreciated by our family. We also enjoyed the hot tub one evening, although we would have been able to spread out more with the kids if the pool was open ☺️ Maybe next time!
Thank you so much for your feedback! We are so excited that you enjoyed your stay. We will be sure to let the team know of your kind words and give a special shout out to Pam. Thank you for taking the time to give your feedback, it means a lot to our team member that try to make each guest stay comfortable. Happy Holidays and we hope to serve you again in the near future.
SpringHill Suites was perfect for our Thanksgiving trip to Arches and Canyonlands NPs. Location is excellent for access to the parks. Being north of town, you beat the traffic on the way there and back. During COVID, I would not even recommend staying closer to town. The view from our room was gorgeous. To-go breakfast was perfect each morning. The suites have a separate living area where we ate our breakfast and dinner each dinner to avoid indoor dining. To top it all off, there are 4 hot tubs!! So we had one to ourselves each night. Hotel is very family friendly, so if hearing children having fun bothers you, maybe request the top floor so there is no noise above you.
Thank you for rating our hotel and for the kind comments about our amenities we have to offer. We love our location by the National Parks and the beautiful vistas you can see from every room of our property. I am very glad you were able to relax and unwind during your trip. Thank you again for your comments and we would love to serve you again when your travels bring you back to Moab!
The best thing about this property was is it is literally the closest hotel to Arches National Park. Just 5 min from your room! We were there last week, 3rd week of Oct 2020.
This is especially helpful because with the overwhelming number of people who were there even in October you need to get into the park as early as possible. We thought that by going in late October there would be a lot less people the hotel, the town of Moab and the park itself were all extremely crowded.
We spent one morning heading straight to the Delicate Arch and that parking lot was full before 9 AM. The parking lot is not that big and there are many people that go for sunrise so by the time we got there a lot of people were actually leaving because they had been there since 6 AM. All 3 days we were there the park closed for several hours from late morning to early/mid afternoon because there were too many people. An alternative if that happens to you would be to go to Canyonlands National Park or a Dead Horse State Park which is on the way to Canyonlands. Both are great places to see.
We are Marriott Titanium members and that is why we chose this hotel. It shares a pool with another Marriott property, a Fairfield Inn which is just on the other side of the pool. Normally with our Marriott status, we would stay on the top floor in a quiet part of the hotel but I specifically asked for the first floor close to a door because of covid.
The room was nice and comfortable. I don’t really have any complaints about the room. We took cleaning supplies to do our own wiping down. Because of covid there is no housekeeping service during your stay which was fine with us because I’d rather not have anybody in the room while we were there anyway. The room had a nice microwave and refrigerator which was great since traffic going into Moab was horrific with current road construction. This made going to any restaurant or grocery store quite an ordeal. We did go to the City Market in town one night which we were told by locals is the best grocery store. We would agree with that. Many people were there stocking up for the next day or 2 to go into park. We brought our own food and bought other food to prepare meals in the room and then several times took our food outside to the poolside deck area just outside the pool gate.
The hotel did have a breakfast buffet where are you could grab fruit and yogurt out of a small refrigerator. It was a surprise that the public was allowed to touch any of the breakfast items. The hot breakfast which was basically just eggs and a variety of meat depending on the day was served by hotel staff (they were both wearing gators and not masks). Gators have been shown to spread your talking spray more than nothing at all!
While we were sitting outside eating our dinner, we were watching people in the pool area and the jacuzzi. There was staff that came in and out of the pool gate but no one was ever talked to guests in regards to social distancing. The jacuzzi was a big hot Covid party that was always overflowing with people. There were lots of kids running around with their parents and none of them were wearing masks even from the hotel into the pool area. This is the only negative I have about the hotel. I was really shocked that there were so many people in the Jacuzzi from different families. This was the 3rd hotel we had stayed at in Utah and I guess there’s a fine line between pissing people off and telling them what the rules are while they’re on the property!
We would love to go back to this area and spend a lot more time hiking in the park but it was a very long drive from Southern California so we’ll wait until after this pandemic mess settles down.
Overall this is a very nice hotel at the north end of Moab just south of the entrance to Arches NP and next to a rafting/river tour operation. The pool area is great but when we were there it was a bit crowded (temps outside were 108 F). The pool area is also shared by two hotels, just as a caveat. The rooms are very nice with separate rooms and comfortable beds. There are two TVs, fridge, etc. Because of COVID-19 breakfast wasn't served but bags of breakfast items are offered (everywhere is the same). The staff (and many of the guests) were a bit unfriendly, which is my only complaint.
Thank you so much for your feedback! We love to hear from our guests and their experience so we can get better one guest at a time. We love our location just one mile from Arches National Park entrance and we are glad you were able to use our water park to cool off in the heat that Moab has to offer in the summer. We are glad to also let you know we are now serving both hot and cold items from our buffet instead of the grab bag options. This allows us to rotate scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, and other hot items into the rotation daily. The only difference is we serve you from the buffet instead of you serving yourself. We will continue to work with our team on offering the Marriott service everyone has come to know as well, thank you for that feedback. We hope you are able to visit us again when in Moab and thank you for choosing Marriott!
Besides the mediocre quality of this property--paper thin walls, noisy rooms, kids running about screaming and uncontrolled––there was a large wedding party circulating around the common areas, all lacking masks and not observing social distancing. A majority of hotel guests, as well as many hotel staff, did not wear masks in common areas. All of this Covid brew for nearly $300 a night. Another Moab ripoff. What a disgrace. Never again!
Good Day! Thank you for your feedback regarding your most recent stay. We understand your frustration as we all learn to navigate differently since the pandemic began. We will use this feedback to help our team and other guests know the importance of masks. We wish we could be everywhere at all times to ensure this is enforced for everyone. In regards to social distancing we have posted all information urging guests to social distance in lines, elevator, and other areas of the hotel at every opportunity and will continue to promote this important guidance. Finally, we will work with our engineers to see about the sound proofing in the room you occupied to ensure that there is no oversight here. Again, we thank you for your feedback and appreciate how it helps us all improve and get better each day. Thank you!
