At the confluence of the Shenandoah & Potomac Rivers this small town is an impressive reminder of the time John Brown led his ill fated raid on the town's arsenal in 1859.
It was a difficult to separate the original, restored & re-creations but overall the town had the feel of the civil war era all be it using ones imagination.
As our US trip this time was all about historic sites, Harper's Ferry fitted in very well.
