The food was fabulous, the waitstaff entertaining and the service excellent.

We had a large group after a Giants game and they seated us right away.

I don’t remember what everyone ordered, but my fiancé and I had a great meal.

ASIAGO-ALMOND CRUSTED SCALLOPS
LEMON ASPARAGUS RISOTTO, TOASTED ALMONDS, LEMON BEURRE BLANC

And -

CHICKEN MARSALA
ROASTED CRIMINI MUSHROOMS, SWEET MARSALA SAUCE, FRESH SPAGHETTI "AGLIO E OLIO"

We also had a lemon drop martini and a watermelon martini. Both very good.

The bartender was very knowledgeable about the wines so tell her what you like and she will find the perfect one.

If you are looking for consistently really good food, drinks, atmosphere, service and value. Well this should be your go to place. It has for years been mine. A great place for me to bring my friends, business clients and even just myself. The main dinning room has bridge and water views, The outdoor patio with the fresh bay breeze and view. Heat lamps on the days the fog rolls in . Easy validated parking in a hood that is tough to find street parking. Check days and times. Best Happy Hour .. all day!

Arrived for Sunday brunch. Because we had a large group (30) we had reserved and pre-built a menu selection for the group. Red flags were going up from the very beginning when the waitress and trainee arrived to take our order, she was teaching her trainee how to count the heads around the table and take orders in sequence. By the time they came around to me halfway through, she had already lost count.

When the drinks and food started to arrive, it was just a cascade of pandemonium around the table, nobody was getting the right plates or drinks, some were getting it twice while others were left empty handed.

The food itself was okay. No complaints there, but there weren't any stand outs either. Luckily we were engrossed in conversation that the food just filled in between sentences and didn't have to be enjoyable or memorable.

Dessert time was another disaster, the gelato came in three waves without spoons. So we all got the pleasure of watching it melt right in front of us.

To be fair, the restaurant was aware of this disaster and tried to make it right by discounting the bill, but there are 30 people that won't want to repeat this dining experience again. I think it was a disservice to their trainee by throwing her into a group of 30 people. Whether or not they intended on delivering poor service, there was little chance they were going to succeed with a trainee on the job.
