just a hop, skip and a jump away from Market Street and the big hotels and businesses, this in itself is an incredible experience at the Farmer's Market, finding food and arts & crafts at the Ferry Building, and catch a ferry to one of the other SF Bay Area cities across the bay.

This is a really lively, bustling joyful kind of market - when we visit there was an astounding mushroom shop selling all kinds of crazy mushrooms (not the dodgy variety), healthy foods, jewellery and all sorts. Ice creams and coffees galore and great places to pick up snacks but the vibrancy of wandering down and seeing the wares was a great experience

There is a lot of activity going on at the Ferry Building. Many very interesting shops and boutiques to visit. There is a great oyster bar that one should try especially if you like oysters on the half shell. Great tasting. The day we went there was a Farmers Market going on. Apparently, it is not there all the time. Great place to sample a variety of fresh fruits, bakery goods, etc. We ended up buying probably more that we should because it was that good!

So many different food vendors. And a great place to watch all the people waiting for the ferries. We didn’t have a chance to try the food but had fun walking through anyway.

Ferry building is such a neat place to walk through. All the vendors there are the best of the best so you can’t go wrong catching a bite to eat there. Fascinating history.
