So we ate at Roy's next to Turtle Bay about a year ago and it still ranks as one of our favorite Hawaiian meals ever but this visit to this location was not good. I want to give them the pass for maybe struggling with service etc. in a pandemic but for the prices here it's hard to do that. We sat outside for dinner by the golf course and even though we were the only table seated for a quite a while the waiter kept telling us how bust they were and how intense it was about to get in the restaurant. I ordered a caesar salad for an appetizer and the lettuce looked old and there was hardly any dressing on it. We waited almost thirty minutes for food (again it was empty outside at 5:15pm) and one of my kids got pasta that had to go back to the kitchen because it was ice cold and had no sauce. My fish was excellent but it was served with a side dish that was not listed on the menu and was not something I would order. I'm not that fussy about restaurants but when you are eating at Roy's you expect it to be very high-end and this was not good. Hoping maybe it was just a bad night for them.
