We had lunch at Mama’s recently; revisiting this place after 24 years and it stood the rest of time, which is not easy to do. Sitting on the edge of a cove on the North Shore, you can feel the breeze through the large open windows in the dining area panelled with rich tropical wood. The menu features a variety of fresh ocean options as well as more traditional meats. Our seafood dishes were fresh, delicious and the presentations were great. The service was uniformly warm and professional. Mama’s is expensive but it earns every bit of its reputation as a must-visit restaurant in Maui. They say you can never go back, but Mama’s is the exception to that rule.
