The Kaanapali Beach Hotel is a great little hotel nestled in amongst the big resorts on the best beach in the world! We love this area and have stayed next door at the Sheraton several times. But, we found that we have some issues with the big resorts- resort fee, crowded swimming pool, large groups dominating the resort - so we decided to try KBH next door. What an amazing discovery! Absolutely beautiful grounds!!! Very friendly staff. A nice small pool with enough room for all to enjoy. They have a free nightly hula show that’s awesome, as well as a luau event. We got the daily breakfast buffet and it was all you would hope for. And best of all—- NO resort fee!! There’s no room service but they do have spa services. You can self park or valet. Self parking for us was right next to our room! Ok, now rooms: we got a partial ocean view room & I must say that characterization of our room was a bit of a stretch. We were on the ground floor and if you stood in the far corner of the room you could see a teensy piece of water. I would call it a garden view/pool view room. Definitely NOT worth the extra expense. So, either just get a garden view room ( since every room has some view) or be sure to request rooms on the higher level floors. The Maui, Kaui & Lanai wings are best - newer & have an elevator

Great place for a family vacation! My wife and I along with our two sons (18 & 16) had a great time. Loved the resort location as well as the area. Lots of fun stuff to do on your own if you have a rental car. Highly recommend this place!!

Nice at the ocean front but the entire hotel need a fresh up. Looks old and the rooms at the ocean front are woodbuilding. A lot of noise from other guests. Near by the ocean an nice view at the sunsets.

Excellent stay. Enjoyed the rooms and service. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to stay at a hotel with an authentic Hawaiian theme and aloha spirit. Mahalo!
