We traveled to Maui for a conference, which was at the resort. We found the resort clean but a little dated which is why I give 4-stars. The staff were all very friendly, the front desk even gave us an extra lei to go with our Halloween costumes! The pool area is wonderful with separate areas for adults and families with children. There isn’t a large beach area in front of the hotel and it is all public but just a short walk away is a nice sandy beach. In the rocky areas you might spot some sea turtles! If we visit again, I wouldn’t hesitate to stay at the Hyatt. Pictures are of the pool area and the view from our 8th floor room.

Why do Hawaiin hotels believe they have a right to charge a somewhat substantial and hidden charge in disguise as a resort. Supposedly this covers basic services that anyone would expect from a top class hotel, pool towels, room safe, internet and so on. Oh, and don't forget the two plastic water bottles that are yours to take home. For we non US residents the 18-22% expected staff tipping was significant enough but to be hit with $32 daily extra resort fee was just so disappointing. And made us realise that facilities in Fiji and SE Asia offer so much more, higher and newer establishments and staffing service excellence. Won't be returning to Hawaii again. But Hyatt Maui resort was nevertheless a great venue

Upon arrival, the view of the lobby was visually stunning. The Valet & Bellmen were extremely helpful, professional & pleasent. The desk staff made check in 'A Breeze.' and they were quite nice to interact with. The room was amazing! And the housekeeping staff did an outstanding job making the room so nice. Room service was fast, with good food. The onsite restaurants serve delicious food in an incredibly, Beautiful Setting! The staff that served yummy shaved ice were so sweet, & fun to talk to. It was an overall, WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE!

This resort sits on a lovely beach with world class views, welcoming, warm and competent staff, and great pool for adults and children. There are gardens with flamingos and swans, turtles on the beach, penguins, and tropical birds. This was a vacation of a life-time, between work.

Great location but the room we had was in desperate need of repairs and updating. The AC leaked water into the floor. Only 3 restaurants with not great service and very expensive food. The self service parking was horrible, not enough spaces and very small spaces.
