Wanting a less touristy Maui experience? This is a picture perfect property with an ample kitchen and places to roam. The private saltwater pool and grounds filled with fruit trees make this place truly magical. My husband and I traveled with my dad & his wife plus our 2 young children. Excellent amenities and decor. The only thing is that the house does not have a/c (but they do supply fans in bedrooms and have ceiling fans in common areas) which might not be a big deal for some people but it was a little humid for my liking. Being near to Paia is nice since the vibe is very different than the other more populated towns--you get more of a surfer/real Hawaii experience. Small dislike: screen doors were kind of flimsy which need to be reinforced if you have kids and constant use. They became ineffectual to keeping out some of the mosquitos. But all in all, we really enjoyed our stay and are so happy we opted for a laid back experience in upcountry. It's easy to see why the property has been featured in magazines.
