Food and drinks are good. Service is usually good. Plan to spend $100+ for a few cocktails and some chips.

We were worried about going to the bar for sunset based on most recent reviews, but we are so glad we went! The views are breath taking and the drinks were great (of course expensive, but you are paying for the atmosphere.) Our waitress was very sweet, did not rush us at all, just make sure you ask for the check when you are ready, as it seems like they don't want to just hand you a check in case you aren't done/ don't want you to feel rushed. The sunset champagne pop and traditional Hawaiian music was also a special treat that we didn't expect! Of course go early though, it gets packed fast! And use the hotel valet, they are so kind!

We loved the sunset from the balcony, though it did get hot. The view was well worth it. there is a lovely sunset ceremony. A man sang a couple of traditional songs and they opened a champagne bottle with a 'saber.' Our drinks were good and I enjoyed a taste of a neighbor's pineapple cider (though it's a California product, not Hawaiin)

For the next two nights, we enjoyed the sunset from the beach below the resort, and then from the cliff just north of the entry/valet parking area..

Went for sunset. Great view. Spectacular sunset. Get there early for a seat. Had cocktails and sushi. The sushi was okay. Cocktails were good.

The sunset ceremony is amazing, and the views outstanding. We had an inside table but were able to go out on the lanai to be a part of the ritual celebration. Enjoyed the drinks also, but the sunset was the scene stealer!
