Swollen ceiling from leak in bathroom over toilet, bucket they placed filled up. Loud noise from broken A/C fan. No midweek cleaning. Old furniture. Safe stuck in locked position while open. Kitchen pots and pans not well stocked.

This is our second visit to The Point at Poipu and I would not hesitate to come again. The staff has been wonderful, going out of their way to greet us with a friendly aloha. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The pool is pretty and spacious, but a bit too cold for even my husband, who generally prefers a colder pool. The rooms need an update, but they are clean and comfortable with everything you need to have a great visit. The full kitchen and washer/dryer are much appreciated. The full-size refrigerator has plenty of room for our Costco groceries. We ate well, at minimum cost, with minimal labor involved. The ocean view from our room is priceless. While this location is not as lush as the one next door, neither is the cost. Go for a walk, enjoy the grounds next door and then come back to The Point at Poipu for a great stay!

Wonderful location. Super nice staff. Kauai is such a great island to explore and relax! Our room had an ocean view and the pool bar had delicious food and drinks. We will definitely want to stay here again!

This complex is old and shows the wear and tear. The rooms still have the original tile. They did a “refit” in 2017, but they forgot to redo the rooms, which are shabby and drab with cheap, chocolate brown carpeting that shows everything and a decor that is colorless. The screen door from the second bedroom to the patio kept falling off, very annoying. There is no attempt to make the unit attractive. The beds are hard with cheap linens. The grounds are well maintained, but the landscaping is unimaginative and also colorless. Walk over to the Hotel next door and you’ll see what I mean. Their grounds are gorgeous and beautifully done. I could go on.

The pool bar was surprisingly good; their hamburger was quite good. Unfortunately, it’s the only restaurant on the premise.

We stayed with friends in unit 7207. We would not stay here again.

Went there the last week of the 72hr quarantine bubble. I didn't think it would be so bad to relax at the hotel for 3 days until we realized there is no restaurant at this hotel. Pool bar is the best way to describe it. Since we were stuck there for 3 days we tried just about everything on the menu and 90% of it was tasteless. They even ran out of certain beers during happy hour. We ended up ordering from the 2 restaurants close by that would deliver to the hotel. The pool bar closes at 8pm so pick up food before you arrive or you will be stuck eating noodles out of a vending machine.
The rooms are clean, spacious, comfortable. The air conditioning in the master bedroom aims right at one side of the bed and can not be moved so depending on which side you sleep on the air will be blowing right on your face. Kitchen is a bit outdated but it is a full kitchen. The unit has a washer/dryer but the hotel will only give you one laundry soap packet, if you want more you have to pay. This hotel does not have a beach so you can walk over to the Grand Hyatt beach or rent a car and drive around the island. The pool is nice and there is an adult jacuzzi area.
There are water bottle filling stations thru the property and the water tastes good. Located in sunnier part of the island. Great staff and concierge service. If you rent a car make a stop at Costco or Walmart and pick up groceries. There is no Spa at this location but there is a massage service that comes to your room. Timeshare presentation optional and does not include breakfast plus lasts at least 2hrs. Now that the 72hr bubble is no more you may have better luck with the food from outside restaurants.
