“Nice Home For Large Families ”

This house is perfect for multiple families who come together to vacation on the beautiful garden isle of Kauai. The layout is spacious...the 5 bedrooms are spread out so you don't feel crowded, yet are able to spend time together. There are two bedrooms downstairs, one master with a front loading washer and dryer in the bathroom and a queen bed on the other end of the first floor. Upstairs has 3 bedrooms all having an ocean front view. The second master and and the middle room have walk out balconies with a chair and table.

There is some construction going on next door, but they start around 8 am Mon-Fri and was not an inconvenience to our group.

There are a few things about renting this property I was not aware of until I arrived and saw notes i.e. no more than 5 loads of towels can be left for housekeeping (not an issue for me but would be nice to know in advance). There's also a note on the first floor thermostat in the family room that states to please turn off the a/c unit when you leave for the day. You may be subject to prorated charge if the electric bill is unusually high during your stay.

Finally, there are a few things that require repair: the left side dishwasher and the gas stove top, in which the ignitor continues to click intermittently after ignition. The ice maker does not work and the rug in the kitchen needs to be replaced. The property manager was quick to respond but the dishwasher and gas stove top ignitor will require repair that will be completed after my stay.

Overall, this is a great property for large families or groups traveling together. Close proximity to the beach and shops. Plenty of snorkel gear, beach chairs and beach umbrellas in the garage.

“Nice for a family stay”

The home is very beautiful and well-maintained. It is the 2nd house back from the street, across from which is a rocky shore. The home's big windows give a great view, especially from the 2nd floor. It is relatively close to shopping and downtown Koloa.
The kitchen is well-stocked with many silverware and dishes, and also has a big fridge and two dishwashers. There are two ovens and 6 stovetops. A family can use the kitchen easily to prepare meals together.
The downsides to this home are that there is major construction happening next door. While the construction wasn't too loud not started early in the morning, before renting, I would have liked to have known about it.
The A.C. was extremely cold. Even though we set the temperature to a normal 72*, it ran much colder. We had to set it to 78* or higher to be comfortable.
The beds were very comfortable (3 kings, 1 queen, and 1 double twin) and the rooms were large. Bathrooms were large and luxurious. Soaps and comfortable towels were provided.
The Remax Staff were very friendly and willing to help us with any issue that arose.
