Owner description: Take an eco-adventure Kayak/Hike to a Secret Waterfall! Among all the rivers available to adventure seekers, the Wailua River Valley seems to be one of those special places. Kayak 4 miles roundtrip on a Class Zero river, combined with a 1.5 mile moderate to strenuous hike through a tropical rainforest, wading through streams, and traversing muddy trails to get to the beautiful 120' Uluwehi Falls.

The tour to secret falls was fun and exciting. The paddle to the trail was relaxing and enjoyable, our guide brought his dog along for the ride. The trail was very muddy and slippery (embrace the mud and go through it, otherwise it is very easy to fall) which we expected and were informed about before we went. As we hiked to the falls our guide told us about the history, trees, and birds. The falls was great and worth the paddle and hike, the water was pretty chilly but went in for a quick dip. Would highly recommend this tour and it is a great value.

We did this excursion in February. It was such a great time. We had Philip as a guide and he was excellent. The kayaking and the hiking were fun. The falls were amazing and beautiful! I would recommend this excision with this company!

Ali & Conner were great instructors & guides. We were nervous and first timers for this adventure. Felt safe & had a great time.

We had an amazing day kayaking and hiking to Secret falls, just an amazing place! Eric our guide was great, told us about the history of the area, about the forest and animals. He entertained us on the hike by playing a ukulele as well :) Our group had a lot of fun together. The hike is muddy, wear good shoes which you will need to wear while swimming by the waterfall as well. Great trip, and a beautiful area to see - this is a must do if you like kayaking and waterfalls!!

My husband and I had a great time kayaking up the Waimea river with Eric. He let us go at our own pace. We just needed to wait at the fork in the river. I loved kayaking. The scenery is so beautiful. Eric is a fantastic guide. After our kayaks we had to walk about a 1 mile. With the other companies you have to walk more because they don't go up the river as far. The trail was quite muddy but what else to do expect with a place that is so green. The kids in our group loved it! Everything is so green and beautiful. Eric is very knowledgeable. He told us about ancient Hawaiian culture. He made a couple fish and some roses out of leaves for the children that were in our group. Our group was small. It was only my husband and I and a family of 6. The falls were breathtaking. Eric said he wasn't in a hurry. We could stay as long as we liked but it would be a minimum of 30 min. This was one of my favorites!! There are lots of different kayak companies but I would definitely recommend this one.
