AMAZING!!! Love this resort.. We took our family for the first time to Hawaii and this resort was the cheapest we found but have to say was the best. The pools are great and the entire resort was beautiful. We really enjoyed our stay, very Kid friendly.

My wife and I have been to quite a few Hilton Grand Vacation Resort and Kingsland ranks as one of our top favorites. Three visits so far and never a disappointment. There are couple of little things they could improve on but they are minor. We know what to expect when we go there and we know we will have a quality stay. I am marking value as average because I can not speak to that. I use HGVC points to stay there. I don't know what a room costs there or if non members are allowed to stay. For location it is a bit of a drive to get anywhere if you leave the resort. You will need a rental car.

My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon, and it was the best out of three hotels we stayed at during our time in Hawaii. The rooms are clean, updated, and have all of the bells and whistles. The pools were fantastic (loved the adults only pool), and the staff were always helpful and kind. I would say this place is 10x better than the big Hilton property down the road- there is a free shuttle that takes you between the two if you still want to use those facilities, but don't want to pay the price. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed here while getting a good deal for attending a timeshare presentation. So happy with our experience. We had a 2 bedroom for 4 adults which made our stay extremely nice. We never felt cramped. We loved having the kitchen and balcony. The pools were great and the location is nice. You don’t feel like you are at a huge complex and are able to get to other places on the Big Island in good timing.

We are currently in the middle of our second stay here at King's Landing. I am writing a review to let people know there's a difference in size and quality when comparing the phase 1 buildings and the phase 2 buildings. Phase 1 buildings are very nice and spacious. Phase 2 is more cramped and like a hotel. There is also this rough, strange floor application in the kitchen, living room and entry area. It would be awful for babies that crawl or are learning to walk. If these things matter to you, make sure you ask and get clear what building you'll be staying in. We assumed they were all the same as the phase 1 buildings, but they're not.

That being said, the pool is wonderful and ideal for kids. You also have access to both pools and the lagoon at the hotel with a shuttle running every 15 minutes.

Room Tip: Phase 1 buildings are the best

Thank you for your review. Yes, there is a difference between all of our phases, and the prices of each are reflected in these differences. We will be renovating our Phase 2 units this year, upon completion they will be more in line with our Phase 1 units, but still have their current price point.
