Love Robin’s Nest

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 07 Jul 2024
Love Robin's Nest. The hosts, Robin & Bob are wonderful, and the canine hosts Stella and Hanna were great. The home is comfy and cozy, the backyard is very calming and quiet. Breakfasts are delicious. It is within walking distance to downtown and only a short ride to the Cody Rodeo and Old Town also The Buffalo Bill Museum, a must see.

Our hosts were gracious, welcoming and generous with local suggestions and information. Great location and comfortable room. Both hosts are accomplished. One as a published author. We bought his book on Yellowstone. His wife is an artist. I bought one of her landscapes. Breakfasts were delicious. Highly recommend.

My family and I stayed at Robin's Nest after spending a week camping in Yellowstone. We very much enjoyed the modern comforts of home after days of sleeping on the ground. The hosts were very understanding of our messy gear and graciously let us air out our wet tents in the yard. However, we were put off by the hosts' personal sales pitch they gave at breakfast. One of the hosts is an author of several books about national parks/history, which came up naturally during conversations during our stay. We enjoyed sharing our experiences in the park and hearing about Bob's adventures there as well. However, while we were at breakfast, Bob and Robin performed a scripted sales pitch, encouraging us to buy his book. He is understandably proud of his work, but it felt forced and awkward - like a car salesman interrupting your family's picnic. Additionally, my family quickly determined that we were of a different political mindset than Robin and Bob, and we did everything we could to avoid politically-charged conversations. Despite our best efforts to steer towards innocuous topics, we found ourselves in several awkward silences after statements made by the hosts with which we disagreed. Overall, the hosts provided great information about the area and we appreciated their hospitality.

Robin and Bob were amazing hosts! They were so welcoming and eager to assist us in any way, but also ensured space and privacy. They had so much knowledge and recommendations to share about the surrounding areas. Breakfast was excellent, started promptly at 8am. When we started our day earlier one day, Robin was so kind to prepare us muffins for the road! The property had a nice outdoor space that was open to guests as well. Walking distance to the downtown area in Cody was super convenient.

We love this place and these hosts! This was my 7th or 8th time to return. Sleeping in "the Suite" is always an enjoyable experience. Surrounded by windows (which easily open, yet are screened to protect from any flying insect), we slept comfortably and could awaken welcomed by the lovely sounds of happy birds within the garden's trees and the faint, tantalizing scent of Robin's delicious cooking calling me to breakfast. Bob and Robin welcome guests with grace, kindness and hospitality unmatched and unrivaled by any other. They know the community/surrounding areas well and all the available resources that they offer and can provide any information/recommendations you could have/need for a memorable night (or week).

My husband and I absolutely enjoyed our overnite stay at this wonderful B&B--wished we stayed longer but we were on a scheduled roadtrip! This is a charming, quaint place with such relaxing vibe, very clean and each room has a theme (we stayed at the cool "The Western Room" w/ some antique decor including Gene Autry pics). They both prepared a delicious breakfast: fruits, scrambled egg, yummy pancakes with coffee/tea. The hosts, Robin and Bob Berry are the BEST hosts- so friendly, kind, warm and really welcoming who gave us several pointers and shared an interesting history of their inn. Surely Bob is the guy to ask about Yellowstone-being an expert on the area ; he was a guide, a collector of historic YNP photos and still is along with Robin available to do customized tour if you request one. We would certainly love to return someday to visit with Robin and Bob---they're not only great hosts but wonderful people! We highly recommend this B&B, you'll love it!
