Four of us stayed for the weekend of the Tour of Flanders..a base for our 13m drive into Oudenaarde. Dirk and Anne are friendly and welcoming hosts ..coffee pot was ready for arrival. It's a home from home with a kitchen very well stocked for a self catering break. Spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Mezzanine floors on both bedrooms had sofa/TV area.
The bedrooms are lovely, beds very comfortable and 13€ paid for bedding/towels. Bathrobes incuded. It's a very peaceful and rural location with a terrace/outdoor dining area at the rear and a garden leading to a small lake. There is a helpful book showing local amenities, supermarkets etc if you were venturing out.
No hesitation in recommending.. Dirk was very helpful when we were looking for advice on travelling to the Tour/route.
A brilliant find if you need accomadation in Flanders. Four of us booked this for a long weekend watching The famous Tour of Flanders cycle race. The house is only about half and hour from Oudenaarde and the famous hills where all the action takes place. Dirk and Anne were very helpful in helping us get to where we needed to be and nothing was too much trouble. The accomodation is lovely, immaculately clean and lots of little personal touches. The two double bedrooms have a washbasin and an upstairs mezzanine with a tv and sofa. Shower and toilet are shared. There's was absolutely everything you would need in the house and nice little garden and seating area at the back. We would definitely stay there again. Just a note to add...towels and bedding are provided but charged separately.
A 5* holiday home, beautifully and tastefully decorated, everything you need ( and more!) is provided for by the hosts, Dirk and Anne who are helpful, friendly and go out of their way to ensure your stay with them is perfect.
It is in a lovely location, well-positioned for visits to Flanders Fields, Ieper, Bruges, Kortrijk, Lille and the Netherlands. It is also perfect if you are looking for a quiet restful holiday in the local area.
We went with our 3 girls, aged 10, 9 and 7 and there were plenty of things for them to do outside and indoors -a newly built, swing and slide climbing frame, a variety of garden games, bikes, table tennis, lots of toys... they also had a ball on this holiday and we were genuinely disappointed when it was time to leave. We loved it so much, we want to return next year.

We wanted to visit Flanders especially Bruges, Ypres and various Belgian castles and needed central accommodation." De Wolvenput" near Dentergem fitted the bill perfectly. Located in a rural setting, quiet and peaceful but with easy access to supermarkets and major routes to places of interest. The Gite was a traditional cottage attached to the owners accommodation and was beautifully decorated and exceptionally well appointed with every facility to make for a really comfortable stay. We were made very welcome by Anne and Dirk who were extremely helpful and hospitable for the duration of our stay. We would have no hesitation at all in highly recommending "De Wolvenput " as a perfect holiday retreat
