Since we are about a half hour away, we called to make sure they would have tuna sandwiches and they assured us they would. However, when we got here, it wasn't on the menu nor was it offered. In their defense, they did make us some when we told them we called, but it seemed like a hassle. Next we were told we got a side. When we got our bill, $2 was added for one of the sides (it was an error that they corrected after we questioned it, but still). $27 for two cold tuna salad sandwiches (avacado, tomato, & greens) and iced tea is a bit much. We were told there was cheese on the sandwich, but there was none. The food was good but nothing special. It wasn't really worth all the unpleasant surprises.

First Saturday morning of the 2018 Beloit Farmers Market. It was a beautiful day. We always enjoy picking up a few local items and then having a nice breakfast at one of the great places downtown Beloit. Our favorite is Bushel & Pecks Local Market.
Their menu choices / specials are always unique and very tasty. Ingredients are locally sourced. Fresh, local and organic. You pay just a little more, but worth every penny. Many different areas and ways to sit and enjoy coffee or brunch, from tables to recliners. This trip my wife and son enjoyed brunch burgers (egg and grass fed beef), my wife had it w/out the bun (paleo burger) looked very nice on the plate. I enjoyed a fresh ham and cheddar omelette with potatoes and a whole grain toast. We all enjoyed bottomless coffee with our meals. The place was busy but we found a place to sit rather quickly. The B&P is also a market, so has a nice (and large) selection of Wisconsin beers, wines, many canned and frozen goods, pastries and on and on. They even have bookshelves loaded with used books along the walls. My son found a book to read on the brain! I believe they also offer live entertainment as well as game nights etc. Very delightful place. You will not be dissappointed. Enjoy!

The coffee was not acceptable. The food (sandwich, and a burger) was good. The side salad was wilted. The pickled items in the store area were original - all other items in the store area are unoriginal - maybe a site visit to other successful specialty stores may help change things. But getting coffee right is not a secret art....unfortunate.
