Our end of summer trip each years is a trip to raft and camp in West Virginia. We discovered this hotel last year because they accept dogs. We were thrilled with the accommodations and friendliness of the staff. So much so that we drove an extra 45 minutes to get to this locationthis year. We made our reservation on line and were greeted warmly when we arrived even though we’d spent the last four days in the Wilderness and looked like hell and probably smelled worse. Just like last year the staff was warm and cordial and the guy behind the desk remembered us. This isn’t a five star hotel but you won’t find better accommodations for the price and the staff makes the whole experience. There is a large field to exercise your pets and even though quite a few of us had dogs I didn’t hear any barking the whole time we were there. The beds are super comfy and the room was immaculately clean. We were sent off with a warm smile and an invitation to come back and wishes of safe travels.

We have stayed at this hotel quite a few times lately while our house is under construction. Every stay has been a pleasant one keeping us as returning guest. Staff (Tilla-Night Desk Clerk) is always pleasant and help. We save money staying here, not only with rates but it being close to all our needs. The rooms are always clean and up to standards. Should really have a higher star rating!

I was a little skeptical booking this hotel because most of the reviewers have one contribution and note an employee named Mark. This is usually a tip that this page is flooded with falsified reviews. It probably is the case because this is not a 5 star experience. I will say the rooms look like they had a recent remodel and are in good, clean shape. That's the plus here. The minus is that it looks to be in a rougher area of Huntington (which may be just a trait of the city), but it is in a series of rundown parking lots. The hotel advertises weekly rates, and I typically don't like to be in a budget hotel with people living there. Call me old fashioned. There were folks outside making noise (although not overly loud) at late hours. You could see they were also drinking in the lot. If it weren't for the area and residents, I'd probably rate this 4 stars. Take what you will from that and ignore the one contribution reviews on this page.

Thank you for your review. I appreciate the honest feedback from an experienced reviewer. Unfortunately I have.no control of the area or the city in which we are located. I can control the experience our guests have and we will do everything possible to provide a great experience for our guests that stay with us, whether that is for a long time like construction workers, or one night stays for travelers like yourself. Our guests comfort and safety is our top priority. We provide a clean, comfortable room at a fair price with friendly service. Thank you for your business and I hope to see you again on your next trip into town.

We are a military family moving into the area and needed a comfortable place to stay while we looked for a new house. This Red Roof inn was amazing for us to stay at! It was clean, close to everything we needed, and the staff were super helpful! Mark took care of every need we had during our week + long stay! (Unbelievable weekly rates by the way!) im definitely glad we chose to stay here and if we ever need a place to stay again or have family come into the area this would be our number one pick!
