We have stayed at Alderbrook multiple times over the last few years including renting the "cottages." This time we had a waterfront King and the bathroom seemed like it needed to have the tile redone and walls painted. The resort overall had a feeling of being "unkept." There were leaves and debris on the lobby deck/porch, hair and crumbs on the windowsill in the restaurant, the lawn needed to be mowed, there were weeds in the flower beds. The hotel has a great location and captured audience, however, for the rates they charge, it should be clean and impeccable. Gave it 4 stars because staff was nice, atmosphere relaxing and you can't be the location. Hopefully, they read reviews and will pay closer attention to cleanliness and details. People are noticing the decline.

We were lucky to get in at the last minute- or so we thought, as the hotel was fully booked out. We then discovered why. Unfortunately our room (335) was immediately above the plant room and we barely slept at all. It was comfortably appointed but incredibly noisy - like having a tractor driven outside your window all night. When we mentioned it to the very sweet receptionist in the morning, she acknowledged the issue was a known problem and said that they had ear plugs available. We were terribly disappointed that no one had mentioned the issue when we booked and had not at least offered the earplugs as an option. I don’t know whether they would have helped but it couldn’t have been any worse.

Triple disappointment- not advised of the problem in the first place, room not discounted ( they knew the problem existed), not offered compensation when we drew it to their attention. And to cap it off, check in was half an hour late. Perhaps the previous occupants had just managed to drop off as we arrived.

We took a cruise on the Lady Alderbrook to take part in the second annual Fjordin Crossin. The yacht was very comfortable, and the views of Hood Canal were wonderful. Captain Cindy was informative and fun. I will definitely go back to take other Lady Alderbrook cruises on Hood Canal — especially with out-of-town guests. We ate at the resort. The food and service were both good.

Hood canal. WOW! What a beautiful place. Third year in a row for company annual planning meeting. Top notice service, food, accommodations. The weather was dry and so much to do around the resort. Dinner in the Lady Alderbrook was relaxing and the sun set was very nice. Can’t wait to come back next year.

Room was quiet and clean with a cozy bed. Grounds are beautiful and the pool is a good size. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend sitting outside by the fire pit and enjoying the sunset and view. Great way to relax.
