Great spot for an SUP since no motors on this lake. Pretty campground with numerous shady, beautifully groomed trails for walking or jogging.

The park itself is great. The swimming area is often crowded and loud.
It is quite peaceful, though.

I was given this as a good place to go for a walk. Glad I tried here. I used my GPS to find it, but there were a few small signs pointing to the Park the closer you get there. My biggest complaint is I felt that the maps were not great to help me find the initial trails from the parking area. Once I was on the walk, you occasionally come up to a map to tell you were you are. But finding the beginning to the trail was confusing for someone who had never been there before. I went there shortly after the rainy season began dying down. That being said, the first part of the walk was very wet. Annoyingly so. But once out of that, the walk was beautiful. Tall, large trees and plenty of lichen and moss to feel you are visiting the Rain Forest. If you like to hike, and do not want too challenging of a hike, this is a good one. Not totally flat, but no climbing involved. Once on the trails, they are pretty easily marked and it is not too long of a hike either. They have picnic tables and barbecues for picnics, as well as camping sites.

Super clean and nice state park. Love the trails and the lake. Has a cool faerie trail system that feels magical. A great local close to city camping location without feeling close to a city.
