We recently stayed in the Eaglenest cabin at Johanna Bluegum cabins.
The cabin was extremely clean, tidy and well equipped. The added bonus being pet friendly, which accommodated well for our 5 year old greyhound. There is a trampoline bed which our grey loved and took too extremely quickly.
We found the accommodation extremely comfortable and all the utilities required. Satellite tv, well equipped kitchen, and a garage (something not often found at a holiday cabin).
The cabin is situated about 1km up Blue Johanna Rd (from Red Johanna Rd), and approximately 1.5kms from Johanna Beach and camp ground.
There is amazing views of the valley and most importantly the beach. It was very relaxing sitting, watching the waves crash against the shore. The cabin is situated amongst the Cape Otway forest and is literally where the forest meets the sea.
During the evening I found it relaxing listening to the waves crash against the rocks, the roar quite calming. Early morning and evening we were amazed by the native fauna, kangaroos, majestic eagles and a variety of other native birds. I forgot how many stars are in the night sky, breathtaking!
The cabin is isolated from the main towns so it is tranquil and peaceful. The closest town being Lavers Hill and Apollo Bay approximately 45mins away.
If you like remoteness and being away from the main towns, with valley and ocean views, in a well equipped, comfortable accommodation,...We recently stayed in the Eaglenest cabin at Johanna Bluegum cabins.
