From day I, Amy the wedding coordinator was so helpful in arranging our daughters wedding. We were not disappointed on the day!! The venue is beautiful. It looked stunning on the day. The food was excellent, the staff worked so hard all day keeping the guests happy. The gardens and grounds are super.
The rooms were comfortable and lovely. Great value, too.
I would highly recommend Gorse Hill as a venue for a wedding or a party. We are planning to have a Sunday lunch there soon.
Thank you to everyone at Gorse Hill.

Room tip: Our room was room 4. Overlooked the lovely grounds.

We recently had our wedding reception at Gorse Hill. Amy was so helpful with the preparations leading up to the day and was very reassuring and great at communicating with us. The venue was set up so beautifully and exactly how we envisioned it and thanks to Rebekah the day ran so smoothly. She was great at communicating with us and timing everything. The food was amazing and they catered beautifully for everyone's needs including vegan. We used the florists that Amy reccomended, love and light and they were stunning. We couldnt have asked for a better day. Thank you so much, I will be recommending you to everyone. Flick and Matt.

Very well organised as a conference venue and all the arrangements were efficient and unfussy. The meals were better than average although there was not much choice. Set in nice woodlands and surprisingly peaceful given the relative proximity of Woking and the M25.

My room was relatively basic, but very clean, ordered and with a comfy bed.

Booked in August for Saturday 22nd September. Received an email on 21st September saying we would only have use of reception because of a function. Therefore no use of facilities - including the bar.
Spoke to the manager at reception whose approach was to totally agree that it was not acceptable and who proceeded to show us his workload instead.
Anyway we were then given a room in the gatehouse away from the main hotel - recently refurbished. The only way to describe it is dirty. The bed had what looked like blood splatter on the base. The bathroom ceiling was spattered with something unhealthy. The toilet was not clean and the sink was discussing. Based on the managers attitude there seamed little point in complaining - he’d have just agreed.

So to breakfast - what a joke. This was 9:30 on Sunday morning. We sat at a table for two that was made up only to be told to move because the table had been set up for lunch. We moved and the next couple took the same table. They were allowed to stay. This episode replayed itself a few more times before we left. The manageress (?) didn’t care and was clearly heard shouting at the kitchen staff.

I really wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone. Beware when booking that you may not get what you hoped for. Don’t expect the manager to address your concerns. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

My husband and I stayed here for one night for our friends wedding check and n very pleasant and easy we stayed in the annex the room was basic and a fair size although huge bathroom was oversized for the room but it was nice all of the waiting staff were very nice down to earth and friendly although the bar staff not so much food was lovely and the wedding went well very well organised and the hotel did a great job
I read some reviews on here and I was a little worried but I really had no need to be .
