We chose this as it was cheaper than most and within walking distance of Runcorn station. We have stayed at Campanile Swindon several times but this is more of an old motel which is in need of modernisation. The bathroom was good and the mattress was OK but there was a shortage of power sockets for charging things. The continental breakfast was not as good as in Swindon but they did put some more croissants and pain aux chocolate on. We did complain about the taste of the coffee when we checked out.

Room tip: Ask for a room which does not overlook the car park

Stayed at this great little hotel on a trip to Liverpool with a friend.

Clean, basic and quiet, and just a short walk from Runcorn railway station which was a great bonus enabling us to get into Liverpool quickly.

Lovely fried brekkie available in the cafe, cooked to order.

Being a regular Premier Inn guest, I wasn't sure what expect. The building and rooms are tired and need decorating but the bedrooms were warm, dry and comfortable. Lacking space for bags but one large table provided on which the tv and phone were situated along side the tea and coffee making facilities. One socket for the entire room but thankfully we always carry a multiway extension socket lead. Energy lamps made for inadequate lighting, an open fronted wardrobe with hangers provided. The bathroom was okay with a small bath with shower attachment. Shaver sockets, heating bar which is activated buy pressing a button, good size sink (soap dispenser too), quality towels provided and reception can give extra towels if needed.
Free wifi voucher provided and finally, exterior wind down shutters which keeps all light out. Would stay again but only for one night.

Dreadful place, run down, looks like Bates Hotel from Alfred Hitchcock. Looks okay on line but don't be fooled we pulled up and left, found a Premier Inn a few miles away. Can't believe someone local booked it for us

Dear 21alyb,

Whilst I am grateful for you taking the time to contact us following your stay, I was disturbed to learn of the poor experience and opinion you have on our hotel.
Thankfully the Hotel is certainly not looking like the Bates Hotel from Alfred Hitchcock, but please accept my apologies and I would like to thank you for providing us with your feedback.

Kind regards,
