Late review for Sunday breakfast prior to lockdown. Steak and eggs with hash browns served gluten free and feta frittata together with hot and tasty coffee. Good service, lovely food. Will go back and try evening menu when we can.

We had another lovely visit for lunch at the twisted tree on Friday
I can't seem to diverge from the Cajun chicken as it is absolutely delish.
Cajun chicken spice is just right,
With the chicken breast layed on a bed of warm mango and tomato served with home- made chunky chips. I also had a side of crispy homemade coleslaw.
Thoroughly enjoyable, all washed down with one or three glasses of merlot.
Great place and even greater, friendly service. Desserts are also homemade yummies. Our favourite go to place now discovered.

Excellent little place with a fairly small menu which means the food served is fresh, it was also beautifully presented and piping hot. Black pudding starter was an unusual choice for me, but glad I chose it - delicious as were my companion’s cajun chicken goujons. Duck was perfect and a good sized portion, finished with fabulous Eton mess and honeycomb cheesecake. Service excellent, couldn’t fault it. Not quite fine dining but definitely above mid range.

Visited for lunch and was so impressed that we went back in the evening. Pick and mix antipasti was particularly good. Mains were excellent (lamb shank, burgers, chicken in white wine and steak).

Went for afternoon tea for my daughters birthday 26/10/20. We were quite disappointed. We expected more for £17.50 each. The sandwiches were very small and not enough for the three of us ( one a child 12 years old). The cakes were better. The best thing about the whole experience was the waitress who was very pleasant
