Villa Maya is one of six private villas on the southern edge of Corralejo, next to the dunes and Corralejo Beach, a huge sweep of golden sands. All the villas are very private, set on the ground floor, each with a sun roof from which one can get a view of the sea and islands. Villa Maya is extremely well-equipped and designed;comfortably furnished, very light and airy and with a sheltered private patio with a small pool which can be heated for a small extra payment.
The area is quiet and peaceful and you can walk round the corner of the road straight onto miles of golden sands. It is a perfect villa for those who don't like huge holiday complexes and enjoy peace and walking near the sea.
You really need to have a hire car as it is located about a mile from the town centre of Corralejo where there are many good restaurants, several supermarkets, craft markets and many shops.
The only negative point about this property is that looking one way towards Corralejo is an ugly, uncompleted derelict building- though looking southwards there is a lovely view. One annoying point which is not made very clear initially by the owners is that on arrival, before you can gain access to the property, you have to drive into Corralejo town centre to the company's office to register and obtain a key code. Even with detailed Google maps we found it a bit of a nightmare as the town is full of one way streets and no-entry signs-very confusing if you arrive in the dark!
