This is the 2nd time I've stayed at Andy and Janettes place and probably won't be the last.
It was recommended to me by a friend who'd stayed there and I would have no problem recommending it either. It's not in the middle of town so it's nice and quite at night, perfect if you fancy staying in and relaxing on the patio but there's a large shopping complex just 5 minutes walk away with bars and restaurants but more importantly a large supermarket too.
Corralejo town, if you want a more lively night is a short walk, I liked making the short walk down to the coastal path and walking along the sea edge down to town but if walking is not your thing a taxi is about 3 euro and there's plenty of them. The town centre has something for everyone, cocktail bars, family restaurants, english pubs, steak houses, night clubs you name it.
If you like water sports flag beach is just 10 min walk away and you can hire equipment there quite reasonably but if you hire a car you've got the whole island to go at.
The pool in the apartment complex is nice and big and never got crowded either time I've stayed there and this last time they were just finishing some work to the pool so if you stay there now it should be like new.
The apartment itself is great, nice big solid wooden double bed in the bedroom, and a sofa bed in the lounge diner. It's clean and the furniture is modern looking. There's plenty of pots and pans if you feel like staying in and cooking like i did, and the patio area catches the sun all day till late in the evening.
I'd have no doubts about booking it again.

Just returned on Saturday from Andy and Janette's Las Dunas apartment.
We were very impressed with the standard and location of the apartment which served as a great base for our first visit to Fuerteventura.
The only negative would be the fact that the apartment block has a weak internet signal so realistically you have to head off to a bar or restaurant to use their internet service for free. No "biggy" especially with a beer or Mojito in your hand overlooking the sea!
Highly recommended apartment and Andy was a great host too. Sorry Janette, never got to meet you !

Hi Janette n Andy. We had a lovely stay and it was nice to meet you both. Loved your apartment. An Ikea home from home with modern furniture. Well equipped kitchen with little extras that u need. Spotlessly clean throughout. The king size bed is the comfiest we've ever slept on and the road outside did NOT disturb us (and I'm a light sleeper). Can't believe the review from the people who must have arrived after us. I do my research and was not put off by the road (not busy) or building opposite. I came here for the bright lounge n kitchen that looks out onto the quiet terrace garden with a lovely big palm tree. Some will be grateful for that tree to hide behind as you get the sun ALL day. We especially liked sitting out there for breakfast on a table big enough for 4 watching the birds and relaxing. The apartment is in a quiet area of the complex (which we wanted) but u are only round the corner to the pool with free sunbeds and friendly residents to talk to. There is a small gym adequate for a little workout which I left my partner to do whilst I exercised my finger messaging friends in the Free Wi Fi area. A short 5mins walk to the Spanish styled Campanario centre with its shops, cafes/restaurants n bars. Markets and entertainment it also has access to a bell tower with 360° views. It is a 15mins stroll to harbour area. The road opposite Las Dunas entrance leads you to the beach front which is a scenic walk to the harbour. This was my favourite part of the holiday as you pass "on the beach" bars n quaint cafés, rude not to go in and try the cocktails. Once in the old town/harbour area it is easy to jump in a taxi which will take you back for about €3 euros or simply walk back and sample more drinks and food. Oh remember to ask for Las Dunas RESIDENCIAL in taxi as there is another las dunas. Anyway we recommend this apartment for a couple or a Family with a couple of small children. Corralejo suits all but I liked Cannes a small café bar on main strip always busy. La Taverna a long established restaurant run by Spanish family between beach n main road, try the ham hock and freshly made sangria. Lots of unusual bars behind concert square. The Blanco café is amazing, decorated like a cave with other private secluded seating areas inside. Go see the loos too. They serve cocktails but u must try the variety of hot chocolates that are that thick u eat them with a spoon (try the chilli chocolate) u won't regret it. The bar in Campanario centre (forgotten it's name) It has barrel tables outside and it's road side entrance catches the sun all day. Lovely Rioja n try their samples of Jamon (ham). I'm not a pizza person but scrummy pizzas to take away near entrance to Campanario and taxi area. Thanks for our lovely stay at your apartment Janette and Andy we'll be back one day. Netty n Gary xx
