Pros. Good fast wifi but no Ethernet socket in the router. Comfortable beds although a few more pillows would be nice, Hot tub not too bad though new ones are much better these days, quiet and private and nice patio with nice table and chairs. The villa was quite clean but a previous occupant had dropped chocolate down in-between the cushions on the sofa which I got covered in. There was a nice complimentary bottle of wine on our arrival. There was a blender and a juicer for oranges and lemons. It would have been good value for money if there had been more than just the two of us.
Cons. These are small things that can easily be changed and would make a big difference to the enjoyment of the holiday which is what we are all looking for. Firstly the kitchen was so poorly stocked with crockery, cutlery and utensils that it was very hard to cook without a fair amount of ingenuity. ( get down to Ikea and stock up, it won't break the bank) We didn't use the dishwasher because there were so few plates etc. that we had to wash up as we went along. There was nothing left by previous occupants that you would expect and appreciate such as sugar, salt, pepper, bin liners etc. No soap in the bathrooms and no washing up liquid in the kitchen. Not even a garlic press and no chopping knife, only a bread knife and a little paring knife. The TV had no English channels which is common here so I came prepared with my hdmi lead and laptop and some programmes stored ready, alas the Tv was so old it didn't have a hdmi socket, Doh! Any BBQ would have been nice but at least the cooker and hob worked well and it had a decent fridge freezer. The parking space is very small so maybe a fiat 500 is the answer. There seems to be an extension which you don't get access to and the patio window which faces the patio area is painted with something to make it opaque, we speculated as to what it was for and we did see a man coming and going through a separate door behind where the car was parked. The most likely explanation was it was being used for storage, it was a little disconcerting not knowing what it was for and you could just make out a figure behind the window but it didn't bother us too much. We didn't get any detailed instructions on how to get there but luckily we had stayed a few doors down previously. Getting the key was a bit hap hazard and replies were a little slow coming from my e-mails and vague. I get the impression that the owner is new to this and will hopefully learn and get some good advice from other landlords. We did enjoy our stay but it could have been so much better with very little effort and we wish you well and thank you very much for letting us rent your villa.
