“Very Entertaining”
Review of Circo Alegria

Very professional show although ticket prices varied the show was not full and people that had paid for the cheaper tickets were seen taking the more expensive seats in front of the people that had paid more than them. That said myself and two teenage daughters really enjoyed the show it was fun and entertaining and my youngest loved the Dog Show

The circus false advertises in all the posters about most of the acts. The acts messed up quite a few times and had to keep doing it again until they got it right. I didnt understand the need to have over 40 dogs in the act especially seen as though only three dogs actually participated. I cant even begin to imagine h0w badly treat they must all be!

I really liked how much effort they put into the circus. It was fantastic! I liked many things including the dog show etc... Fantastic family event really. The only disadvantage was it was in Spanish although a lot of it you didn't need to understand as it was superb

I visited this circus on the 25th August 2013. At the time is was base din Alcudia, Mallorca.

They have a van that travels about the towns advertising the circus with loud music and a team of people handing out the leaflets.

The leaflets say on them the costs of the ticket is 10€. Which seems decent value for a circus, I know back home in the UK prices vary between around £8 to £16 for similar travelling shows.

It's not until you arrive at the ticket office with your family that they will tell you that the 10€ price is a special price that was only valid for a special performance on the very first day the circus moves to a new town! The real prices are between 30€ and 16€ per head. And if you are thinking 16€ is reasonable, then please consider how much of the show you will not be able to see from those particular cheap seats. Realistically you need to spend over 24€ per head to get a good view of the show.

They also have a strange classification system that means any person over the age of 10 years or over is an adult. So if you have a family of say 2 adults and 3 kids, aged 10, 12, 15. Then expect to pay for 5 adult seats. Child seats are available for kids aged 2-9 years old. I really dislike this rule. Since when has a child of 10 been classed as an adult? Perhaps classifying young girls and boys as adults says more about the ethical standards of this group of travelling performers than they would care to admit. They certainly don't put it in print on their flyers or brochures.

If you are planning to take a family of 4/5 then budget to spend over 100€ on tickets. I'd also take your own drinks and snacks too as they are similarly overpriced inside.

This wouldn't have been such a disappointment if they had been more transparent and less clandestine about their pricing structure. Leaving you too find 'small print' until when you arrive at the ticket office with your family is simply an unscrupulous way of leveraging the disappointment of your family against the ticket price... it's a dirty trick.

Visit with caution.
