My wife and I stayed at this Hotel a couple of Years ago so had no reservations about going back. This time however we didn't use a travel agent so booked Easy Jet flights ex - Southend and booked a room directly with the Hotel. Whilst the room we had last time was fine we did spot top floor rooms that overlooked the beach and seemed to have larger veranda's. When we checked with the owners Mar group they offered us
one of these Royal rooms for less than the travel operators wanted for a standard room. The Royal rooms are probably no different but the outdoor decked space is much bigger than the room it self and boasts a table and chairs plus 3 sun loungers and a hot tub plus out door shower all on the top floor and totally private.
This was a great choice as we were able to use the outdoor space to the full taking advantage of the very hot sun and returning to the UK with great suntans.
Some of the bar and restaurant staff even remembered us from our last visit and my wife's coeliac dietary requirements were catered for in terms of bread and pasta although the chef's didn't manage to come up with too much else but the restaurant by the pool did have a good a la carte offering which they managed to make gluten free by removing sauces etc so no complaints. There isn't really much evening entertainment though except bingo and a large projector TV showing Spanish Football but it was early in the season (7th - 18th April) but the kids were well entertained as far as we could see. In the main bar area there was a local artist drawing excellent characatures for a good price and we had one done much to the watching Spanish holiday makers delight.
The location is great right on the wide white sanded beach which is a nice 30 minute or so walk to the Alcudia marina. One trip you should definatley take is to the Old town of Alcudia which is surrounded by an impressive great wall and features a combination of traditional homes with shops and restaurants/ cafe's.
We would also certainly recommend the Inca market on Thursday's, thousands of stalls selling everything you could imagine and loads of great shops and bars.

Room Tip: Go for a Royal room, specify a room with a round Jacuzi if possible the room we had seemed to have a smaller one which was blue and a bit of a tight fit for 2!

This hotel isn't bad by any means, however there are draw backs. Firstly the air conditioning is very very poor, in our bedroom it did not work at all, we were not alone in our complaint many other guest had the same issue with their over heated room and no air conditioning. The hotel overall was hot and clammy and provided no extra relief from outdoors. Looking back through previous posts I am very suprised no one has mentioned this before so weather it's a one off during our visit who knows? Secondly I would say the cleanliness of the highchairs is very very poor, I often had to look around to find the 'cleanest' chair for my little one before wiping it down myself too. Previous hotels have placed a sterilised sticker over the highchairs after each use this is not the case here they are not cleaned after each use! Overall we enjoyed our holiday kids loved the splash pool, mini disco can't comment about entertainment as our kids were always asleep by the time that started, as people have previous commented staff were great just a few small issued letting the hotel down

Stayed at this hotel from the 5th april until the 12th april with my husband and his brother and wife..overall the hotel was pretty good.On arrival the reception staff were very good and got through everyone pretty quickly. When we arrived at our rooms we went straight in however my brother in laws and his wifes still had the cleaner in it and was not ready so we dropped all the bags in our room and went for lunch.
The main restaurant was very large and very busy, mainly with spanish pensioners, some of whom were very rude. The food selection was ok but to be honest i expected better after seeing internet pics of big piles of prawns and thought there would have been better types of fish too being a 4* hotel. We found a lot of the time the lunchtime buffet was better than the evening buffet. There were things like potatoes, pork, chicken, fish, lots of salads, paella, vegetables, bread, cakes and puddings.Lunch times would have been better if the cold meats and cheeses were available but strangely these were only served at breakfast time! Breakfast buffet was usually the best meal with the usual bacon ,sausage, eggs, tomatoes etc.lots of bread and toaster so you could make toast.Cereals and fruit were also available.Drinks available at all meals were ..beer,wine,water,fruit juices, hot drinks and all were good quality drinks.staff were very good and always polite. We ate in the a la carte dining room on 2 occasions and neither were great experiences. The first time they never brought our drinks or meal and when we complained the waiter just shrugged and said everyone has to wait.(we had waited well over half an hour).everyone who came in ages after us had had their meals and eaten it!!! when our meal did arrive my hubbies steak was raw and flat cold in the middle and my fish was only just cooked .The 2nd time the menu had finally changed to a much nicer one so we thought we would try again..my meal was luvli and so was my hubbies but my sister in laws fish was flat cold in the middle and her hubbies lamb was also flat cold in the middle although they said it tasted nice lol..the snack bar through the day by the kids pool served very good quality food if you fancied a change ,stuff like burgers ,chips, toasties, nuggets, ice creams, crisps etc.
The pool area was very nice and very clean.lots of sunbeds and large pools but they were too cold to use,the weather was nice but had a very cold wind with it being by the sea.The beach was very nice too.
Bar area was large with lots of seating but on an evening it was very hard to find a seat, again full of spanish pensioners ,most of which never even bought a drink just sat there all night talking(shouting).Entertainment was pretty rubbish of an evening, mainly for kids or just spanish dancing.Bar staff were excellent so never had to queue long if at all.
Our rooms were fine, although the 2 single beds we had flew across the room everytime you moved, not great for a couple(brother in laws room had a double bed). The bathroom was nice with a fab walk in power shower with spa jets.Lots of storage shelves too.Only thing i can say is a mirror is needed in the room as there is a dressing table but no mirror so to do your hair etc you have to stand and do it in the bathroom.our view was of the street, sea view would have been nicer.Wifi didnt work in our room and wasnt great in other parts of the hotel at times but least it was free.so not a problem.
Outside the hotel was very nicely kept and there was a lot of gift shops but not many bars or restaurants were open as it was too early i think but not a problem as we were all inclusive.
Overall we had a very nice stay at this hotel and would definately go back again.

Room Tip: ask for a seaview as the other views weren't great.

We stayed here for 5 days from 19th April 2015 and would recommend this hotel to anyone. We requested a see view which was amazing, the rooms were so clean and the maid service was daily. The staff were extrememly friendly and helpful, the Hotel is fantastic and caters for everyone with great entertaiinment, a lovely atmosphere, fabulous food with 2 restaurants to choose from. The beach is just at the end of the pool where sunbeds are waiting. Great place to stay, keep up the good work!
