Travelled in March for 7nts. Hotel is very modern and run very well. Rooms very clean clean and comfortable. All meals are very good and entertainment first class. Being adult only it is also relaxing and peaceful. The hotel is a short walk to bars and shops, also to small Marian to the left and Cala Millie to the right. Try Stanley's bar not far for nice lunches and afternoon teas.

2nd holiday in the Alicia mid-October 2017 as close to the end of the season have held this review till now.
Room
We had a room on the 3rd floor with a sea view with sun from early morning till mid-afternoon, as others have said the room on the small side for a Platinum hotel. The television had a limited number of channels but I don’t go on holiday to watch TV.
Meals
Breakfast is a good choice of British or Continental, or a mixture of both.
Did not eat at the hotel for lunch so can’t comment on the meals.
Evening meal I did not think was as big a choice this year may be down to it being the end of the season.
Entertainment
Daytime entertainment if you wanted to join in, night-time starts with a game of Bingo then the main act. You are never going to please all guests some acts better than others,
Staff
The maids work hard, Martin and his staff in the dining room and are very efficient, reception staff friendly and deal with any problems you may have Bingo Tony and. Bar staff get to know your order and are quick to bring your drinks, it was good to see Oscar behind the bar as I have known him for a number of years when he was a barman at the Bonaire.
The location of the hotel is good and from the promenade a right turn takes you to Cala Millor and a right turn into Cala Bona central. I hope to be back in the Alicia sometime in 2018

Room Tip: Sea views are great

Just got back from a weeks stay in the Alicia, the weather was a bit hit and miss but it is early season. The hotel was beautiful, clean very comfortable, we had a sea view room which was nice but small. We will definitely go back and opt for a suite next time. The food was lovely and the staff could not be more attentive. Unfortunately I was ill and had to go to hospital for a couple of days, the hotel staff were fab the manager was totally accommodating on our return nothing was too much trouble. Cala bona is a beautiful place and we shall definitely return to the Alicia without a doubt hopefully with no hospital trips. Thanks to the staff at this truly wonderful hotel. Lorraine and Mark x

Thought long and hard about what to say in this review.

We normally holiday at the excellent H10 Timanfaya Palace in Lanzarote and so the Alicia had a lot to live up to. Good points are the fact it's modern and clean and well run. We had a superior room - liked the bathroom set up, but the extra large balconies are very exposed to other guests on either side and above. Food ok, breakfasts better than dinner - we didn't appreciate having a specific sitting in the evening. The hotel clientele were definitely elderly, I'm 49, my partner is 59 and we were just about the youngest people there. Drinks are expensive - the bar/lounge is very underused and has little atmosphere.

Maybe if we hadn't been spoiled elsewhere, we would have considered returning because there is nothing wrong with the Alicia, but it just didn't have that 'magic'

We stayed at Alicia mid October weather not great but was late summer. We had a room with a sea view which was very nice could imagine this could be noisy in high summer, room was very small had to store cases under the beds. Two sittings for dinner not had this in any hotel. Dinner was mainly English dishes which was good quality, did get quite congested around serving areas with every one arriving at the same time. Special mention to Abdul our waiter for the week very helpful. At breakfast there was vast choice all good quality and well cooked. Nighty entertainment was mixed, some bad, you needed to be on first sitting for dinner to get a decent seat as there are a lot of pillars obstructing views. If bingo is your thing this played nightly just two games but for over a hundred Euros each game. The harbour at Cala Bona is a ten minute stroll. There's a weekly market at Cala Millor. When we went in October it was mainly over sixties and almost all British.
