this hotel is clean fresh relaxing and located in a great spot.
great pool area good selection of bar drink and food (needs more kiddy's choices)
hotel rooms are cleaned daily and fresh linen as required staff are friendly and helpful
the beach is in view dependent on your room and only 2 mins away on foot. plenty of bars and restaurants surrounding the hotel. in general we enjoyed our family holiday and would recommend this place to anyone looking for a 3 star

Room Tip: ask for pool view but can be noisy when people in pool

Rooms are very small for a family of 4 with next to no storage drawers and not even a shelf in the bathroom with no worktop space in the kitchen. Had to prepare everything on the kitchen table. As a result we were living in what felt like chaos for 2 weeks with my daughter unable to unpack her suitcase. The giant recycling bins (on the road outside our hotel) were emptied at various times every other night between 2am and 6am - the noise would shock us all awake, not what you want on holiday! The balcony was shocking - worst I've had on any holiday. No privacy from the apartments either side and looking directly across at another hotels' balconies. The pool was small but lovely and the pool bar food/drinks very reasonably priced and tasty. The beach was pretty but far too busy and overcrowded to enjoy. Nice prom to walk along at night and excellent restaurants.

Arrived at just past midnight and were told by reception they had an internal problem and our room was unavailable until the morning but they had booked us in to the Bahia overnight which is a 4star hotel, a taxi picked us up and took us there where we had the penthouse suite on the top floor which was fantastic and a taxi to bring us back in the morning for a free breakfast. This did not prove a problem to us at all as they were so pleasant and nothing was too much trouble.
We spent another 9 days at the Maracaibo, the rooms were lovely and clean and the cleaners lovely. Ate quite a few evenings at the bar as they have meal deals every day with three choices which include a glass of wine or beer and ice cream all for around 5 Euro. I had the spaghetti bolagnaise which was delicious also lovely Spanish omelette amongst other things. Gladys the waitress was so lovely. Pool was fantastic and the children and ourselves loved it. The pool area is kept lovely and clean, we didn't find it necessary to leave the hotel as it was so pleasant, I would personally give this little gem of a place a much higher rating, the only down side was the transfer time which took much longer than expected but because our destination was so nice we will overlook it. Would return again tomorrow, loved it.

Room Tip: Pool view is lovely but would get very hot.

This hotel is located up a side street right in the heart of Can Picafort.

The hotel itself has a small pool, a bar/restaurant and 24 hour reception.
They have daily deals on the evening meals and breakfast every morning, with a BBQ and live music every Tuesday night.

The rooms were very clean, we had a room overlooking the pool which was well worth asking for at the time of booking as the others all face out into the street.
There was a maid service every day which was good and the beds were very comfortable. Each room has air con, a fridge, tv, and cooking facilities.

The staff were all very friendly and the reception staff were excellent. Their only downside is that it took a very long time to get a drink at the bar. There wasn't a queue or a lot of people ordering, it's just that the staff are very slow and don't seem to mind taking their sweet time

The sunbeds round the pool were good, each had parasols nearby and these didn't get filled up first thing by towels. You could usually always get a sunbed during any time of the day.

Other than that there is no night entertainment or kids clubs at this hotel. The bar is open til 12am but it's very quiet. It isn't a resort type hotel it's just somewhere quiet to stay while you go out to eat drink and explore the area. We didn't mind this though as when we got back we enjoyed a quiet drink on the balcony while the kids went to bed.

The location of this hotel was the best part. The beach is at the end of the street, around a 2-3 minute walk and along the way are streets and streets of shops, bars, restaurants, stalls, supermarkets etc.
You name it and this place will sell it!
There was so many shops and restaurants to choose from that if you saw something in one shop meaning to go back for it another day you'd have no chance of remembering where it was again as the hundreds of other shops nearby made it too confusing so its best to buy things as you come across them.

Everywhere is around the same price in shops etc but we found the restaurants along the beach front were considerably more expensive than those set back up the side streets. It's worth looking around before you decide to eat to get a cheaper meal.
Bottled beer in the bars were around €4 each which is pretty high and the cocktails and milkshakes go for around €5 to €5.50 again quite pricey.

There was also quite a lot to do in the way of tours and theme parks, water parks were nearby and we did the karting in can picafort which was a lot of fun.
Reception are very helpful when organising trips and excursions and will arrange it all for you.

Overall brilliant place to stay, would recommend this hotel and would go back again. The whole place was lovely, very lively with plenty to see and do.
Brilliant place for kids and family holidays.
