Mijas Village Tour With Tapas

If you're staying in the Malaga, Torremolinos, Marbella Costa del Sol area and have a car or a rental car, we highly recommend a drive up in the mountains to Mijas. This little town has so much beautiful scenery to see or walk the many cobblestone streets, visit souvenir shops, lamb leather shops or have lunch at the numerous eateries on the many plazas or at the panoramic view area of the valley with olive groves and more with a few restaurants (try Oscar's for tapas) on different levels of the cliffs. You'll see what I mean when you get there. Yes, there are many tourists but its worth the drive to see the country side, the view of the Med Sea from the mountains and this town. Plan 4-6 hours on the r/t drive including walking the town. We spent all afternoon there and would re-visit again next trip. Its so incredible. Every street corner turn offers something spectacular. (Disregard someone's negative criticize).

Lovely place, very Spanish (may sound odd but a lot of spain is very British) lovely for lunch in the sun, the views are fantastic, I personally couldn’t have spent more than a day there as there wasn’t enough to do.

Not that interesting, a square with a fountain and lots of tourist-trap shops around it and a few restaurants on the border.

If you would close your eyes before driving up the hill, you could not differentiate if you are in Spain or Greece . Well maintained village , lot of pittoresken doors and little roads .
Great Tapas Tavernen invite for vine , food and conversation .
We enjoyed our sight seeing tour on the donkeys

This was one of our favorite stops in Andalusia. Though I am opposed to bullfighting and I would never watch a bullfight the stadium and history here was very interesting. It's in a beautiful part of town and offers many photo opportunities. Entrance was about 4 euros pp. I highly recommend.
