“diabolically overpriced - avoid like the plague - would not recommend to my worst enemy”

the company/owner has been very shrewd when taking the pictures of this villa and the so called annexe - it is so NOT what it looks like at all

they are both dirty, tired, shabby, very very poorly equipped - dated and looks like no decoration or replacement of any furniture or equipment has taken place since 1960

one of the bathrooms still has a men urinal which looks disguisting and this was in one of the so called ensuites - we didnt use this bathroom at all and this was also due to it being too small to even get in it

the showers and toilets in the bathroom were old and shabby - with 2 of the bathrooms having stained toilet brushes in

the kitchen had very cheap and old crockery, cutlery and what other equipment it did have was rusty, chipped or broken

we had to ask for lots of different kitchen equipment including a chopping board as we only had one (considering this villa is meant to cater for 14 people) but this was so old and shabby we had to throw it away - we even had to ask for large bowls and storage containers, t-towels and oven gloves

the kitchen cupboards were filthy so we had to insist on the cleaners coming up on the first day to clean them out - the cupboard doors were shabby and didnt fully close due to the age of them

we had one tiny cooker which only had one rack inside the oven with only one baking tray so had to cook in stages

the fridge in the annexe was not working so this had to be replaced

the annexe was disguisting - dirty and shabby - we only used this for 2 people to sleep in and nothing else as it was so awful and was also like a sauna due to the heat

there was not enough sun beds when we arrived (only 7) 2 of which were broken and the other ones were cheap - the chairs around the pool were also cheap and uncomfortable

the padding on top of the sunbeds were cheap and when we laid on them - the foam inside was sodden - they were also split at the ends so some could not be used

we had 2 umbrellas which were cheap pub garden umbrellas and subsequently could not cope with the light winds so broke leaving us unable to eat outside at lunchtimes
no shady areas to eat lunch so good umbrellas are essential

the gates on the villa dont lock and are rusty
the driveway up to the villa which runs alongside the villa and the pool is also regularly used by the workmen who have a yard at the back of the villa - the owners and another man who come up without warning to pick fruit and never introduced themselves therefore leaving you feeling unsafe and insecure - we was never informed that anyone else would be using this drive

overall this villa needs to be totally renovated/updated and fully equipped before it is used again otherwise anyone who is involved with renting this out in its current state needs to be honest, to have a conscience and give a truthful overview of what it is like and to think to themselves - 'how would i feel if i had paid nearly £3000 a week of my hard earned cash to rent this out?'
