“This Hidden Gem is the real Tuscany”

We stayed here for a week in August 2015 as a group of 8 adults, each having our own private room and bath. The property is magnificent and beautifully appointed with antiques and modern amenities. The owners, Fonsi and Enzo made us feel as if we were coming home to our family each day after touring. We had them prepare some meals for us and they were the best of the meals we had on our entire vacation. Home made pastas, bread, gelato, you name it. We also took their cooking class headed by Fonsi and her mother. More than we could have asked for. They grow most of their vegetables and herbs in their beautiful gardens. They have both indoor and outdoor kitchens. It was fascinating to watch Fonsi's mom make homemade pasta in the outdoor kitchen. The pool was a welcome retreat after a hot day of touring. We cooked a few of our meals on our own and found everything there that we needed. Most of our dinners were eaten outdoors in the cool bug free night air. If we lived in Italy, we would be staying here more than once a year. It was a 20-30 minute drive to Florence and Pisa, Montepulciano to name a few are only an hour or so drive away. This is a great location to fall in love with Tuscany and stay with a wonderful Italian family.
