“Well appointed Trullo in beautiful surrounds….”
Reviewed 28 June 2015 for a stay in June 2015

This is a well appointed Trullo located in lovely countryside a few miles outside of Alberobello that was a perfect base for our week exploring Puglia or for lazy days lounging by the pool.

The property has been renovated and extended to a high standard with lots of thoughtful touches such as multiple terrace areas to catch the sun, a shaded pergola by the pool and colourful irrigated gardens surrounding it. It has two separate wings so would be ideal for one large family or for two families holidaying together. The property was a few minutes away from local supermarkets to stock up whilst retaining a wonderfully peaceful and private feel.

The owner was especially helpful, diligent and proactive beforehand in ensuring the property was suited to our needs (8 month old twins) and kindly provided travel cots, a high chair and a bottle steriliser. Older kids will enjoy the games room there (table tennis, darts) and adults will appreciate the roof terrace which became our evening spot for a glass of Prosecco before dinner. For those nights where we felt else inclined to cook, a local service company was able to deliver excellent fresh local meals or to offer advice when required.

Location wise this is a great central base from which to explore the Valle D'Itria and Puglia generally. We visited the white city of Ostuni, Alberobello and Martina France - all were within 5 mins to 35 mins away. The Adriatic coast with both public and affordable private beach lido's is about a 30 min drive or for an hours drive south west you can have a dip in the ionian sea. It's also equally spaced between Bari and Brindisi airports so that gave us multiple travel options with Easyjet, Ryanair or BA.

“The perfect place in Puglia”
Reviewed 13 June 2011 for a stay in June 2011

La Casa Sulla Collina provided us with the perfect holiday home. A beautiful house more stunning in reality than the photos (which is unusual in our experience) it was equipped everything we needed and more. The house is large and spacious with beautifully furnished rooms. Thankfully indoors remained nice and cool despite the heat outside. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. The kitchen was really well equipped - as a keen cook it's one of my bug bears to arrive on holiday and not be able to find sharp knives or good cookware. Our family ranged in age from 65 to 5 yrs. Nobody was disappointed whether it be the peace and quiet, fantastic views, the great suggestions and written directions for local country walks provided by the owner or, as you can image for the kids, the fabulous pool and games facilities in the garage. For me personally it being able to sit out every evening as a family and eat, drink and chat on the colourful patio with the warm Puglian sun on our backs. We regarded it as a piece of heaven in Puglia. It is quiet and private but also close enough to drive or taxi into the beautiful town of Alberobello nearby. Beautiful gardens and land which included olive, fig and cherry trees - the best tasting we've ever had. What really made our holiday though was the thoughtfulness and friendliness of both the owner and the property managers who met us out there. The service and care taken was fantastic. Definitely somewhere to return to year after year.
